💡 Insights, Innovation, and Impact: Recap of Our Owners Event 🥂 Yesterday evening, we had the pleasure of welcoming our owners to our Headquarters in Stockholm for an inspiring meet-up. It was fantastic to connect with everyone, share our progress, and outline the road ahead. We kicked off the evening with an in-depth presentation on our work in the 🇬🇧 UK market, highlighting our impactful efforts with children and young people within the NHS, along with our insurance offerings. A special thanks to Daisy Butler-Gallie, our UK Country Manager, who joined us live to share updates and insights directly with attendees. We also delved into our clinical achievements over the past year. Our VP Business Development, Li Åslund, and Global R&D Lead, Louise Lind, presented a detailed overview of our treatment outcomes, performance metrics, and recent research projects that are pushing the boundaries in predictive data and precision healthcare. 📚 Thank you to everyone who joined us—it was a memorable evening full of meaningful conversations and valuable insights. Sometimes, it has been suggested that as a representative of the NHS on SAG meetings that I ask too much of event organisers, or their medical providers. Comments include: “The Purple Guide is just a guide, not a legal requirement.” “But it’ll cost me too much.” “We’ve been doing this event for XXX years, and nothing bad has ever happened.” And so on… I’m firmly pro-events, they’re great for local economy and bring a lot of fun and entertainment to local communities, and contrary to popular belief, the majority of my site visits are because I want to see people enjoying the event rather than finding things to complain about! But that doesn’t mean they can’t be safely run. I’m not one of those representatives who expect everything mentioned in PG to be provided, the guide itself even refers to a “Medical Needs Risk Assessment”, there is no template specifically for this, but an understanding of what the event looks like and the associated risks is all it takes to justify cover provided. I see a lot of push back and fighting, when the reality is that I am open to conversation - I’m here to help, advise, provide support on interpretation of guidance and recognition of risk. A well run SAG and well briefed partners are here to help and support, not to hinder and destroy. Use us, don’t abuse us!
