Smart individuals are also bullshitters, they bullshit themselves because they think no one is as smart as them or that they think they know everything. Ego knows everything. One has to acknowledge what they going through, if the individual doesn't want help they never going to get help. The individual must be willing to change. It has nothing to do with psychology, counselling, coaching, spirituality and everything to do with the individual. Can't take the horse to the trough and force it to drink. When one embraces change, then maturity and growth will happen. When there is no change within oneself, we can only repeat our past habits, attract problems and feel overwhelmed by situations and events in life. Setting boundaries is a powerful way to prioritize and to maintain your emotional, mental and physical well-being. This is extremely important in relationships where you are being treated with a lack of respect. You cannot change someone else, but you can decide how much space they occupy in your life and how much energy you continue to give to them. If someone isn’t treating you with respect, it might be time to reassess whether that person should continue being in your life or at least the role they play. You have the right to end relationships that drain you or negatively impact you or, alternatively, to redefine how you interact with that person by setting stricter boundaries. These choices give you agency and protect your emotional health. It also gives you more energy and room for relationships that do support you. Are we tuning into more voices of encouragement, support, and constructive feedback, or are we tuning into the negative voices we have once heard or are hearing that bring us down? Positive or negative voices? Ultimately, it's our choice how we wish to discern and adjust the volume accordingly. Also consider who around us do we allow into the depths of our lives. Be mindful and surround yourself with people who celebrate you, not just those who tolerate you.
