The problems that can eventually #transform us are those we can't quickly solve. James Hollis: "The #paradox of #relationship will always be that rather than solve our problems for us, relationship brings new problems, new complexities, but that we also grow immensely from these problems, these complexities. In short, the greatest gift of relationship proves to be that as a result of encountering each other, we are obliged to grow larger than we had planned." #immunitytochange #growthculture #deliberatelydevelopmental #mindsetshift #complexity #adaptivelearning https://lnkd.in/gvsjA5Xz

The path to self-awareness begins with confronting our own darkness. We often avoid acknowledging that the worst of human behavior comes from people just like us. This realization can be unsettling, but it is necessary for growth. To achieve enlightenment, we must first recognize the capacity for good and evil within ourselves. By facing our own shadow, we can start the journey towards understanding, acceptance, and ultimately, self-improvement. True transformation happens when we accept that we are capable of both light and dark, and we choose to rise above our base instincts. This is not about rejecting parts of ourselves but integrating them to become whole. The more we understand our shadow, the more we gain control over it. Only through this internal confrontation can we become better, more compassionate, and enlightened individuals. 🚨Check the link in the bio. #embraceyourshadow#enlightenmentjourney #facingyourshadow#growthmindset#innergrowth #innerjourney#innerstrength#innertransformation #journeytoself#knowthyself#mentalstrength

Self-criticism can be a relentless cycle, but what if we shifted our perspective? 🌟 Instead of focusing on our flaws and shortcomings, let's try something radical: self-approval. Imagine the possibilities if we embraced self-love and acceptance. It's time to rewrite the narrative and discover the transformative power of approval. #SelfLove #SelfAcceptance #PositiveMindset #InnerPeace #PersonalGrowth #EmbraceYourself #Inspiration #MindsetShift

Have you noticed any of the recent conversations about "Emotional Immaturity"? I thought it might be interesting to metaphorically explore this concept. What is "Emotional Immatruity" and "Emotional Maturity"? How might we recognise either of these in others, and in ourselves? Noting that we're probably unlikely to notice emotional immaturity in ourselves - that's kind of the definition. The metaphor that came to mind for me was that of a rock in a river. Emotional Immaturity - The Rock: Rigid, reactive, defensive, set (yet slowly eroding?), and the splashes representing chaos, reactivity. Emotional Maturity - The River: Open, flexible, reflective, challenging, curious (the eddies), deep and surface, enduring... (many more possible words, but you probably get my drift... pun intended). I wondered how it may "feel" to be either or both of these things, and what it might take for a rock to become the river, and how it might be for other river riders. I was inspired by Dr Lindsay C. Gibson's work - google her books and videos if you're curious, and it also reminded me of Dan Seigel's work (e.g. the river of integration). Does this resonate with you? #emotionalimmaturity #leadershipcoach #personaldevelopment

Rejection is not the end; it's a redirection. Emily's words remind us that resilience in the face of rejection and the importance of perspective can transform our approach to challenges. It's about committing to your passion and understanding that rejection is just a part of the journey, not the destination. Watch the full webcast on my channel, ‘Dealing With Feelings’ to dive deeper into our conversation and gain more insights on emotional intelligence and resilience.-->https://buff.ly/4chj3yC Remember, every "no" is just a step closer to your "yes." “The world will ask who you are, and if you do not know, the world will tell you.” - Carl Jung This has undoubtedly served as my awakening. Understanding oneself begins with peeling away the layers imposed by our upbringing environment. Our desire for change is essentially a primal urge to reconnect with our genuine selves. While some argue that change necessitates reinventing oneself entirely, I contend that it's about rediscovering our true essence - our passions, flow states, values, and inner calling. Many settle for a predictable, secure career without questioning if it aligns with their life's purpose. The quest for meaning often emerges during times of crisis - be it a quarter-life, mid-life, or identity crisis - prompting us to shift from reactive to proactive life choices. This awakening can occur in our twenties, thirties, or even forties. Those discontent with their lives muster the courage to reinvent themselves. As we grasp that our character shapes our perception of reality, crises prompt us to identify areas for personal growth. Character development, as Jim Rohn echoes, is a gradual process of self-discovery and reconnecting with our authenticity. The key is practicing congruence - aligning our inner selves with our outward actions - requiring conscious effort and courage to shed old identities. I offer complimentary clarity calls for those interested in self-discovery and character development. https://lnkd.in/eDJ8eyup #congruence #character #development #selfdiscovery #authenticity

🌟 New series - my daily self-reminder journey! 🙏🏻 Lately, my days have been a whirlwind of books and works😋(To me, being filled and busy is a blessing), leaving little room for self-reflection. It's time to nourish my soul with some much-needed refreshment.😋 I'm thrilled to share my go-to platform for self-enlightenment and personal growth: Deepstash. It's been a game-changer for me! Today, let's dive into the intriguing topic of "How we form beliefs." Beliefs guide our path, unique to each of us. It's crucial to stay true to what resonates within us. While I'm clear about my beliefs, integrating them seamlessly into every aspect of life poses a challenge. That's my current focus - aligning belief with action in all endeavors. 💼✨ #SelfReflection #BeliefSystem #PersonalDevelopment

Transforming yourself involves questioning the stories we've crafted about ourselves, like the belief that vulnerability only leads to pain. Real change occurs when we challenge these narratives and demonstrate to ourselves that there can be alternative outcomes. For instance, daring to be vulnerable in a relationship and witnessing a positive outcome. Reflecting on such experiences allows us to acknowledge that things can turn out differently. #ChangeNarratives #ChallengeYourself #EmbraceVulnerability #PositiveOutcomes #SelfReflection

Are you feeling frustrated by others' choices and beliefs? It might be time to shift your center. Understanding the various centers of focus can bring clarity to your perspective: - Self-centeredness is familiar but can limit connections. - Group-centeredness may be causing distress in your environment. - World-centeredness offers a broader view yet remains constricted. - Embracing love-centeredness could alleviate all suffering. Moving beyond the human narrative and embracing a love-centered approach can lead to profound transformation. Remember, you are deeply cherished.
