One of the best sounding cars ever built - the Lexus LFA! And not just any LFA, but the Nurburgring edition. It was built to celebrate the class victory that the LFA racing car had on the Nurburgring in competition. Sporting a 4.8L V10 producing 562hp, mated to a 6-speed sequential transmission built by Aisin. It also features a host of new aerodynamics, as well as suspension changes to give it more track-focused prowess. And as noted, it hits a note that is music to the ears. A total of 500 LFAs were built, 64 of which being the Nurburgring package. This particular example is chassis 336 and it is one of only 25 from Nurburgring Editions that have arrived in the brand new states. The exterior is finished in color code 9K5 orange with carbon fiber accents, while the interior is trimmed in a two-tone red & black interior. Making it the only example believed to have been completed in this suit specification. A real gem. For the 2024 season, the distribution of wind tunnel hours is intricately linked to the teams' standings in the Constructors Championship, creating a sliding scale of resource allocation. This system is designed to provide teams lower in the standings with more development time, thereby narrowing the performance gap to the front-runners. 🚘 Red Bull Racing & Red Bull Technology as the reigning champions, finds itself with the minimum allocation of 1,500 wind tunnel hours. This limitation is a hurdle they must navigate to maintain their dominance. 🚘Ferrari and Mercedes-Benz AG, closely trailing in performance, are granted 1,750 hours. 🚘Teams like Aston Martin F1 Team and McLaren Racing, with allocations of 1,900 and 2,000 hours respectively, are given an opportunity to close the gap. 🚘At the other end of the spectrum, Williams Racing received the maximum of 2,500 hours, to give them time to create a better design. This structured approach to wind tunnel time not only influences the pace and direction of aerodynamic development but also emphasizes the need for efficiency and innovation within the time constraints imposed.
