A great trip to Eindhoven. Really interesting breadth of work on show. Some things we noted; > Sustainability: Designers are continuing to look for broader approaches to delvering environmentally conscious solutions, going beyond mere material selection and recyclability to consider societal changes in consumption. > 3D Printing: Being explored and utilised by designers in all sectors - from jewellery and textiles, to buildings and landscapes. > Design Process: When you think Phillips, it’s hard not to picture prestine laboratories and white coats. However, if their exhibition is to be believed, they follow the same fluid, and often messy, ‘design-thinking’ approach many of us swear by.

It's no surprise that #Detroit is the first and only UNESCO City of Design in the United States. Detroit is the #1 city for commercial and industrial designer density, with more designers than New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago. This talent pool is supported by the #DetroitRegion's top design programs at the College of Creative Studies, Cranbrook Academy of Art, and the University of Detroit Mercy.
