Minnesota International NGO Network’s Post

As we close this year’s MINN Summit, “The Future of International Development,” we are filled with gratitude for everyone who made it possible. To our breakout presenters and speakers—thank you for sharing your knowledge and sparking insightful discussions. A special thank you to our keynote speaker, Rachel Miner, founder and CEO of Bellwether International, for sharing valuable insights about the dimensions of, and prevention for, genocide. We learned that NGOs play a vital role in creating conditions that support communities resilient against “otherism” by breaking down unequal access to freedom of religion and economic opportunity. And to our attendees—your participation, curiosity, and enthusiasm fueled the spirit of the event!

Civil society organizations play an increasingly important role in international development and societal well being. This potential, however, can only be optimized when the staff and boards of NGOs enhance their capacity for success via engaging in these type educational and networking events. Thank you MINN for your continued work in Minnesota!
