⚾No two situations are identical in Major League Baseball. Hitters are tasked with understanding where they do damage and where an individual pitcher is vulnerable to create an approach. Pitchers are constantly hunting the parts of the strike zone or individual pitches where a hitter struggles to choose which pitches to prioritize.
Systems are no different - a team chooses each product pitch based on the unique needs of the people and processes they have in place.
As I start my new role at Teamworks, the goal is to connect with the MLB teams, leaders, and players we serve to listen and learn how to improve our product experience. The exciting thing about embarking on this journey with Teamworks is the organization’s desire to innovate in elite sports. This affords me not just the opportunity to gather information, but also to share some pieces publicly that won’t compromise competitive advantage for our clients.
❔What problems are teams trying to solve?
❔What uncharted territory are they considering venturing into?
❔What efficiencies can we help them unlock through integrating systems or adding products?
While most of my conversations will be on background, I am confident that we can give you access to some interesting perspective. Whether you work in professional sports, in sports technology, or just curious about the sports world, I invite you to follow along, engage, or even schedule some time with me.
I’ll be back next week with some insights from my first trip!
