To read a research paper fast 1. You DON'T NEED to be a speed reader - The rate limiting step when you're reading a medical research paper is not how fast your eyes read through the words. - It's more of the processing speed that is important - Learn where to find the information AND you need to understand the foundation of clinical concepts. 2. You DON'T NEED read the paper in detail - Depending on the goal, you may only need to focus on certain parts of the paper. 3. You DON'T NEED to read the paper in sequence - This is not a novel where you have to read the paper in sequence to make sense of the story. As long as you know the structure of the paper, you know where to find the answer. #academicchatter #academicmedicine
