I just wanted send a quick shout out and thank you to a friend of mine, Chris Barry over at Cloud Staffing Professionals He has been a great colleague, manager, and friend of mine for close to 15 years and we had a great time catching up over dinner and drinks this evening at my house in Raleigh, NC. 🍴🍻 That said, I made some wagyu beef burgers with carmelized onions and cremini mushrooms, farmers market tomatoes, spring greens, as well as American and aged smoked cheddar cheese. To top it all off, I grilled up some potatoe buns and slathered them with W.G.'s (Wes Garrett) homemade, grilled jalapeno, roasted red pepper, and bbq bacon burger jam! Also, did some waffle fries on the side! 🍔🍟😁 I hope that sounds appetizing enough?!? 😅 I'm just happy I could spend an evening catching up with a good friend of mine that I haven't seen in many years! SALES PROFESSIONALS A few years ago, while pursuing my bachelor's degree in industrial chemistry and chemical engineering, I never envisioned a career in sales. My classmates ventured into various fields such as pharmaceuticals, paint, breweries, and food & beverage industries. A few nonconformists even diverged into logistics, data analysis, banking, and hospitality. And yes, I count myself among them! Fresh out of university, I started as a Chemical Sales Officer and eventually transitioned into the role of a Sales Engineer. Transitioning industries is not that uncommon. Yet, it can feel incredibly daunting. It feels like you're facing an industry filled with experts who have been immersed in agriculture their whole life. But the reality is, agriculture is filled with industry jumpers too. And maybe people do not want to admit it. But agriculture needs industry jumpers. We need people to tackle today's challenges with solutions from different perspectives. I had a great conversation with Chris Kapusta, Talent Acquisition Specialist at FCL. This is a hiring specialist who gets it. "When you transition from an industry or a title position… you're always facing similar barriers. The barrier is the preconception of your experience, what you could have learned, and how it relates to that position in front of you. So the way you get around that is twofold.  It's what people say about you when you're not there.  And it's how you present yourself." Truck / Container Inspection & Loading: 1.Check all necessary documents which required for vehicle loading. 2.Collect Vendors Number, Fleet Owner's/ Incharge Number for Tracking and emergency purposes. 3.Before loading of vehicle must check Truck / Container condition. 4.Use Check List for vehicle inspection and make record for safety purposes. 5. Prefer plain floor container / Truck for consignment loading. 6. Always use tarpaulin above & base of container / truck for avoid any type damages or water leakage 7. Always use tarpaulin in gate side of Container / Truck for avoid any type damage or water leakage 8. If Container / Truck Body condition is damage then avoid to load the consignment. 9.If you are using open body truck then always use 3 or 4 tarpaulin for cover the vehicle from upper side. 10. Hiring Right and Retaining Willing Skill sets. Skill set needs set the culture of every organizational practice. Farming in particular, getting the right skill set can be more challenging. Skill set availability tends to be time sensitive. Yet, engaging the right skill set has more to do with the stage of the farm and the skill set's motivation than it has to do with availability. Circumspection in engaging skill sets that resonate the culture aspirations and values that the farm tends to deliver is the criteria for labeling a skill set right option or not. Engaging a skillset is much easing to keeping a skill set employed on the farm. 1.It is easy to hire a dumb person but harder to hire a smart person. 2.It is hard to recruit a willing employee, but it is easy to keep such employee. 3.It is easy to employ a skillful employee but it is hard to keep such employee. 4.It is easy to employ a novice but costly to develop.
