The latest report from Powerful Women is out, and it’s a must-read for anyone passionate about gender diversity in the energy sector. The "State of the Nation 2024" summary reveals both the progress that has been made and the challenges we still face in achieving gender equity. Key highlights that stood out to me: 1. Significant increase in female representation in leadership roles. however The energy sector's leadership roles for women are at 24%, compared to 40% in the financial sector. 2. Cultural challenges, unconscious biases, and a lack of mentors are major barriers. Only 15% of surveyed companies have a structured mentoring program for women. 3. Leadership training programs have contributed to a 12% increase in women achieving senior roles within these companies. Let's keep the momentum going! Dive into the full report in the link below and join the mission with Catalyst Inc. so we can collectively push for a more inclusive and equitable industry for women with over 60 years of research and training tools to support your ambitions.
