I recently received a message that gave me pause for reflection. A fellow professional wrote: "I would like to thank you for your response. It's the first I have received from a CEO thus far, and I've sent over 50 to date. Whilst it only took up a little of your time, it means a lot to receive and keeps me motivated to continue to persist in what is a tricky market." This message serves as a powerful reminder of the impact we can have through simple acts of courtesy and engagement. In our fast-paced business world, it's easy to overlook messages or connections, but we must remember that behind every outreach is a person working hard to grow their business and make meaningful connections. As leaders and professionals, we have a responsibility to foster a culture of respect and support within our business community. A brief response, even if it's not immediately actionable, can provide motivation and encouragement to those navigating challenging markets. I encourage all of us on LinkedIn, especially my fellow CEOs, to take a moment to acknowledge the efforts of others. Let's commit to being more responsive, more supportive, and more engaged. Sharing resonance and telepathy is also sharing excitement and meaning. As CEO leaders, we do have the responsibility to create a culture of mutual respect and support for the business community. We should be more proactive in responding to others and give encouragement and support to many people in the business community. This is of great significance to entrepreneurs. Let us work together to build a more friendly business ecosystem. These concepts surprised me and made me agree! 1. As a CEO of a company, I have experienced many experiences, failures, successes, excitement, and pain, which can be actively and proactively shared with people in need to encourage and support those in need; 2. Giving a simple reply to people who have just started a business will inspire like-minded people to forge ahead, work together, and achieve mutual benefit and win-win results; I will try my best to give some replies that I can make if someone needs it! 3. Mutual respect is the foundation, mutual openness, mutual trust, and no prejudice; 4 Do better in the areas of your respective expertise, the purpose is cooperation, not competition; build an ecological business community together, and take a small step forward every day; 5. I will follow and reply to some posts that I will follow and reply to every day in the field of digital health AIOT.

Self marketing at its best. It is always difficult to bring change to an organisation and it nearly always needs to come from outside. And it is also clear that C&A is certainly among the more difficult organisations to establish a modern culture in. Having said that, there were times in the past, where it worked. And where it was also commercially successful. In the public statements of the current C&A CEO you can read a lot of really nice things, you hear exactly the right buzz words, but there is nothing about commercial results. To my experience this is never a good signe. When marketing activities (new logo, TV campaign), fringe activities (jeans production in Mönchengladbach) are going hand in hand with self promotional interviews (Süddeutsche Zeitung) and podium discussions like this summit are the news the CEO is publishing, then there is „something rotten in ….). If you then investigate a bit deeper, speak to workers council and other former colleagues at C&A you get the feeling that the Brenninkmeijer family should give their cash cow of the past a closer look - rather sooner than later.
