"Dell Technologies now says it offers AI data readiness with Dell Data Lakehouse, the densest GPU-capacity inside liquid-cooled racks and an AI model-buffing Agentic RAG with Nvidia." #iwork4dell #delltechnologies
Dell Technologies says its AI advances in servers offer customers the densest GPU capacity available for NVIDIA’s most sophisticated processors running in liquid-cooled cabinets that, all together, push AI and data to the limits of what’s possible. “This is something that we’re very, very proud of, and the innovation and the speed of innovation across infrastructure over the last year and a half to two years has been – really, as a longtime Dell employee – mind boggling and very, very exciting,” Dell’s Senior Vice President of ISG and Telecom Varun Chhabra said. Here’s what else Chhabra and Dell’s Senior Vice President of Compute and Networking Portfolio Management Arunkumar Narayanan shared during a media briefing about the news ahead of #MSIgnite and #SC24: Dell Technologies Partner

Dell Technologies forecast current-quarter profit below market estimates on Thursday, and signaled that higher costs to build servers that meet heavy AI workloads would dent annual margin, sending its shares down more than 17% in extended trading. The Round Rock, Texas-based company expects adjusted gross margin rate to decline about 150 basis points in fiscal 2025. It expects adjusted profit per share of $1.65, plus or minus 10 cents, in the current quarter, compared with an analysts' average estimate of $1.84, according to LSEG data. "Given inflationary input costs, the competitive environment and higher mix of AI optimized servers, we do expect our gross margin rate to decline," Chief Financial Officer Yvonne McGill said on a post earnings call. A surge in demand for high-performance computing and large-scale data centers to support growing adoption of generative AI has spurred investments in AI-capable products, triggering demand for servers offered by companies including Dell. #Dell #ArtificialIntelligence #AIServers https://lnkd.in/g-pA8GFn
