The MIT Mobility Initiative (MMI) is delighted to announce the thirteenth episode of the MIT Mobility Forum Fall 2024 hosted by Prof. Jinhua Zhao. Forum Title: The Future Takes Shape Speaker: Tom O'Leary, Co-founder and CEO, JetZero Tom will speak to the virtuous cycle that JetZero’s blended wing body airplane creates. The shape of the airplane enables more of everything we want and less of everything we don’t. This means more space in the cabin, more efficiency, more choices. Less emissions, less fuel, less boarding stress. Fridays 12:00-13:00 ET, Aug 30 - Dec 13, 2024 The MIT Mobility Forum is open to the public. Please register here - https://lnkd.in/gGtR3gG7

🚀 Exciting News from the FAST Team! 🌍🔧 Today, on June 5th, we are thrilled to be part of the Ancera España 36th Congress under the theme 'Sustainable Intelligence' in the South Auditorium of IFEMA, Madrid. 🇪🇸📍 This pivotal event in the Spanish automotive aftermarket calendar provides an exceptional platform to explore the latest innovations, trends, and challenges in our sector. One of the key topics being extensively discussed at the conference is the impact of ecology in the automotive industry. For our brand, FAST, sustainability is of paramount importance. We are aware that we have only one Earth, and it is our responsibility to protect it. 🌱 Due to that, we are investing in high-quality materials and replacement components, such as filter inserts, to ensure our products have the longest possible lifespan in vehicles. This approach not only enhances the performance of our products but also significantly reduces waste, contributing to a more sustainable future. 🌍🔧 #FASTTeam #ANCERA36thCongress #SustainableIntelligence #AutomotiveAftermarket #Innovation #AI #Sustainability #IFEMA #Madrid #AutomotiveIndustry #Automotive

Davide Dell'Orto CTO and Strategic Developments Manager of Dell'orto Spa, during the #4eJacobacci brought testimony of their reality: historically recognised as dell'Orto Carburatori, to survive on the market over the years they have made several evolutions, from mechatronics to electronics. In recent years they have taken up the challenge of power electronics for #batteries for urban light mobility. See the full speech (generated, in English, by Ai Tool) to find out how they faced this challenge and how they imagine the cities of the future: https://hubs.li/Q02tF3vG0

4️⃣ 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝗻 1️⃣ 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁 🚗 Due to the megatrends of #electromobility and #automateddriving, the domain of chassis development has been evolving for years. To meet this change and actively shape it, engineering teams seek out technical dialogue on forums such as #chassis.tech plus and bring it to life. This symposium is the right place for companies, engineers, and innovators to meet with international colleagues, but also to expand business contacts and expertise. 𝙊𝙪𝙧 𝙆𝙚𝙮𝙣𝙤𝙩𝙚 𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙜𝙧𝙖𝙢 🎤 💠 Dr. Ingo Albers, Porsche AG – relevant because as regular trendsetter for new developments in the industry, Porsche sets standards in the chassis technology for example with the Panamera and Taycan. 💠 Robert Fuchs, JTEKT Corporation – illustrates the cable steering system in a software-defined vehicle: today - tomorrow - later. 💠 Peter Holdmann, ZF Group – particularly interesting because of the new possibilities for controlling vehicle dynamics thanks to the software-defined vehicle with intelligent components and a central computer. 💠 Dr. Thomas Kersten, Volkswagen do Brasil – addresses an international audience and presents the effects of decarbonization targets on chassis development for OEMs, particularly in South America. 💠 Cyrille Roget, Michelin – the durability and CO2 footprint of tires are becoming increasingly important for OEMs and end customers. 💠 Dr. Navid Samadi, Huawei - especially great as European engineers are interested in how Chinese technology group Huawei and electric car manufacturer Chery have worked out the details of the ADS 2.0 intelligent driving system for the BEV LS7. ▶ Follow the link for more information and book your attendance https://lnkd.in/dmDryCd Many thanks to our scientific director of the symposium Peter Pfeffer and to our partner Klaus Baltruschat, TÜV SÜD. #chassistechplus #ATZlive #steering #brake #tire

And that is officially a wrap for PIC Summit Europe 2024! It has been great to bring together so many people from across the PIC industry under one roof. There’s a clear sense of community around the technology, and it’s part of the reason the PIC Summit Europe continues to be such a success. This afternoon we looked into ‘seeing without seeing’ and how imaging can help us better understand the world around us. It’s a diverse field, with a growing number of viable applications. There was also a major announcement from PhotonDelta about the launch of a Global Engineering Contest with prizes of €50000 and up to €2 million in pre-seed funding. During the final session in the Philips Hall, Mark Gunther from Signify explained the main advantages and current use cases of LiFi while Sytze Kampen of Airbus Netherlands covered some of the challenges facing the transmission of lasers through the Earth’s atmosphere. Not only have the presentations provided great insight into PIC applications now and in the future, but the conversations that have been going on outside the talks really give a sense that collaboration isn’t just an industry pipe dream, but something people are actively working toward right now – which is extremely encouraging for the sector. We certainly can’t wait to see what happens in the next twelve months, and we definitely want to see each and every one of you next year!
