As a Customer Accounts Manager, the first challenge in my role was getting over the Customer's reluctance to interact with you. Being a new entrant into the Canadian workforce as an international graduate, everyone faces this challenge. Two main things helped me overcome this hurdle. Firstly the support from my wonderful team. My team at Aaron's Furniture Thunder Bay welcomed me warmly with great support. They introduced me to the customer base and instilled confidence in them to trust me with their account transactions. They gave me courage and tips and tricks, to clear even the smallest of my doubts and insecurities. The support from the team is inevitable for any new worker for the smooth transition into their new role. Secondly, patience. It is a key factor to face your challenges and believe in the process. I accepted the fact that customers will be skeptical to interact with a 'new guy' in the office for their account. Once you gain their trust, they are comfortable, polite and supportive. It's nothing personal and common in every industry with customer interaction. Have patience, trust your team, don't take it personal and believe in the process. #canada #newworkforce #internationalgraduate #teamwork

One of my first jobs while in school as an international student in Canada was in customer service, and I learned a lot from that experience. It taught me the importance of empathy, active listening, and going the extra mile to ensure customer satisfaction. These skills are transferable to real estate, where understanding and addressing clients' needs is critical. In real estate transactions, good customer service is essential for making sure everything goes smoothly and clients are happy. This means staying in touch regularly, providing clear updates about deal details and the status of transactions, and addressing any questions or concerns promptly. Clear and timely communication helps build trust and prevents misunderstandings. #RealEstate #CustomerService #ClientSatisfaction #RealEstate #PersonalizedService #ProblemSolving #Empathy #ActiveListening #Canada #RealEstateSuccess

[Portuguese version in the comments] After two exciting weeks of living in Portugal, I finally got a new cell phone number, but not without some challenges along the way. As someone who has worked as a Technical Support Analyst and Quality Analyst, I understand the importance of customer satisfaction. This post isn’t about criticizing NOS SGPS/WTF, but reflecting on how their customer service could be improved. I found a great data plan with WTF—big data at an affordable price. I tried setting everything up online, but their website required a Portuguese number—which was exactly what I wanted to get! Without a local number, I reached out to their support via Messenger and was first told to visit a NOS SGPS store. After going there, I was informed I needed to go to a different kiosk 3.4 km away in another mall. Despite the inconvenience, I was determined to get it done and headed straight there. Huge thanks to the helpful staff at ViaCatarina mall in Porto! I ended up with an amazing 20GB plan and a 100GB bonus. That said, the customer service experience could have been smoother if the Messenger rep had given more precise guidance. 💡Here’s where I think the customer service could have improved: The representative on Messenger could have provided more detailed information, such as the exact location of the kiosk I needed to visit. A little extra effort in guiding the customer can significantly enhance the experience and positively impact CSAT scores. Have you ever faced a similar situation where you needed better guidance? And did you respond to the customer survey afterwards? By the way, I am currently seeking new professional opportunities in Technical Support. If you’re hiring or know someone who is, let’s connect! 🚀 #JobSearch #CustomerExperience #TechnicalSupport

Your Favorite Customer Service Rep Reporting! Here is something you didn't know about my services as a customer service rep. I’ve helped clients with various inquiries—even those outside the typical scope of my job. Want to know what I mean? Let me share a little story: One day, I had a very satisfied client on the line, brimming with joy after receiving his visa. Out of excitement, he asked me, “How will I pack? There’s so much to do! How do I know what’s important and what I can leave behind?” I smiled and told him, “That’s easy! Let me share a few tips on how to pack like a pro.” After all, I’ve learned a thing or two from my mother, and we all know our mothers are the ultimate packing pros. Their packing is always smartly done, portable, and you’d be amazed at how many things they can fit into a tiny bag without leaving anything behind. Now, while this wasn’t exactly part of my job description, I knew I was in the perfect position to help my client feel less stressed and keep that excitement flowing after getting his visa. So, here’s the exciting part: I’ll be sharing those packing tips with you! And a little announcement too! Want to know how to pack like a pro and avoid travel stress? Stay tuned for my next post—trust me, you don’t want to miss it! #CustomerServiceExpert #VisaSuccess #TravelMadeEasy #PackLikeAPro #StressFreeTravel #CustomerCareThatCares #PackingHacks

Attention to detail is an essential skill for both administrative assistants and customer care representatives. For an administrative assistant, it means ensuring every aspect of the job is handled with precision. This includes managing schedules accurately, organizing documents meticulously, and completing tasks without errors. Such careful attention helps maintain smooth operations, prevents costly mistakes, and ensures that nothing falls through the cracks. It’s about being thorough, checking work, and maintaining high standards in all administrative duties. For a customer care representative, attention to detail is equally vital. It involves actively listening to customers, understanding their needs, and providing accurate and thorough responses. This skill helps in resolving customer issues efficiently, ensuring that no detail is overlooked, which can lead to better customer satisfaction and loyalty. It’s about recognizing the importance of each customer interaction and delivering personalized, precise service. In both roles, attention to detail not only enhances individual performance but also contributes significantly to the organization’s overall success. It ensures that processes are efficient, services are high-quality, and customers are happy, which in turn boosts the organization’s reputation and operational effectiveness. #AttentionToDetail #CustomerCare #AdministrativeExcellence #QualityService #Efficiency #PrecisionInWork

CUSTOMER SERVICE Customer service role is something I really love and would want to explore being a virtual customer service representative. In my class yesterday with the one and only wonderful coach, I learnt more about this role. It is not just a role but an avenue to represent a company and the product or service that they offer. For me, it is a very special position because you are serving as the first contact. My coach went further to list some beautiful qualities of a CSR.... *Being a good listener.. * Asking the right questions.. * Being empathetic * Having good knowledge of the product or service your company offers or sells, etc. I am always fascinated by a customer service representative role because I see it as an opportunity to serve and at the same time solve people's problems. #virtualassistant
