👉 This Weeks 'Monday Marketing Message'... Take a break! Sometimes, a break is exactly what’s needed to refuel the mind. This weekend, I took a step back from marketing and got hands-on with some DIY at home 🛠️. For us engineers, a good weekend often means rolling up our sleeves and getting a bit of dirt under our nails – whether it’s tackling a home project or diving into a technical challenge for our clients. At MiW MEDIA, we believe in grounded, hands-on marketing – the kind that understands how things work from the inside out. That’s why we do more than just build campaigns. We troubleshoot. We problem-solve. And, yes, we sometimes step away to refresh and come back stronger. Because, after all, isn’t our best work done with a clear mind and a fresh perspective? Hope everyone has a chance to get away from the screen this weekend – even if it’s just to do a bit of DIY! 👷 #Marketing #Engineering #Weekend #TakeABreak

There are so many marketing tactics out there these days, but honestly? I still think nothing beats word of mouth. My close friend Daniel Schermerhorn, Product Marketing Manager at MAJORITY, needed a way to start making videos for his company. A few months later, I’m sitting down with him for a case study, hearing how he’s using Storykit to make it happen. 🤓 Always cool when work overlaps with friends. 🙌 If you want to check out the full story, here it is: https://lnkd.in/daRw3YA4

Don’t make this mistake 🚨 It’s a simple mistake that we see so often. Keeping your subjects eye level when zooming in helps to keep the viewer engaged and therefore watching for longer. Think about it from a real world perspective, if the person you were talking to was moving around loads you’d lose focus quite quickly 🤣 Leave a comment if you’d like us to make a video on how to make a thirds grid 💬 Fresh Faced Marketing #contenttips #socialmediatipsforbusiness #socialmediahelp #digitalmarketinguk #contentideasforsmallbusinesses

From “Renegade Marketing” by Drew Neiser - Very timely. Very mindful. Very demure. 😉 Kidding about that last bit - this is one of the toughest “pledges” I’ve seen, that I would actually consider doing. ✅ I will focus relentlessly on a handful of strategic priorities. ✅ I will have the courage to say no to distractions. ✅ I will delegate everything except the things only I can do that move the organization forward. ✅I won’t add to my to-do list without taking something off of it. ✅ I will block off thirty minutes a day for thinking big. #aviationmarketing #renegademarketing

It's officially Halloween and we're wrapping up our Scary Marketing series for this year! Why exactly are deadlines such a (potentially) Scary Marketing Mistake? In the world of marketing, deadlines are like your survival plan. Deadlines help move your campaigns forward, keeping everyone on track and ensuring your strategy is executed before it’s too late. But when deadlines start shifting like a pack of walkers... it’s a red flag. ⚠️ Unpredictable deadlines can disrupt your entire workflow, lead to missed opportunities, and cause quality (and ROI) to drop faster than survivors in a zombie herd. Here’s how to stay ahead of the horde: 🧟♀️ Set clear expectations: Make sure everyone knows the plan—deadlines, deliverables, and who’s responsible. A clear strategy is your best defense. 🧟♀️ Maintain open communication: Just like in a survival group, constant communication is key. Check in regularly to address any issues before they become catastrophic. 🧟♀️ Prioritize key tasks: Focus on the high-impact moves that will keep your campaign alive and thriving. Don’t waste time on what won’t matter in the end. 🧟♀️ Build in buffer time: Always expect the unexpected—whether it’s delays or revisions, give yourself room to maneuver. Deadlines aren’t just timelines—they’re your lifeline. Stick to them, or risk seeing your marketing efforts fall like the last stand in a zombie apocalypse.

Today I got an email from my girl Kristina Hall / Hall Social with the subject: "Even bomb-ass messaging won't stop the scroll" ... and... joke's on her because that bomb-ass messaging ABSOLUTELY stopped my scroll and got me to open her message. Her bigger point was that, in general, images are what stop the scroll. And I agree with that. Here's my overall takeaway: The next time you're scared to take risks in your marketing because you worry the effort will bomb... have faith that bomb will be a firework. NOW what I want to know is... what stopped your scroll and got you to read this far? Text or image? 👀 ⬇ #marketing #advisormarketing #socialmediamarketing
