Saddle up! Riding 100 miles, getting a better job- it doesn’t need to be your own idea to make it a good idea. My friend asked me to do an extreme ride last Sunday. I dragged my feet on saying yes for months, I feared the pain. But I eventually agreed to it, trained and completed the course. I’m asking you to consider talking to a better company about a better job, or maybe to interview my candidate who would fit your team. Recognize a winning proposition, be open to the possibility of the world giving you something greater, and be ready to execute. !!!Hotties!!! -Baltimore- Controls, FST, Mech, Elec, Installation Mgr, Engineering Mgr -Milwaukee- Controls Eng -Miami- MH Dock & Door Sales -Anywhere- MH Key Accounts -Anywhere- CapEx Sales (automated packaging) -Austin, TX- MH racking Project Mgr #dri #directrecruiters #nicksaddleton #materialhandling #mhsales #automatedpackaging #controlsengineer #mhintegration #warehouseautomation #keyaccountsales #spaceoddity #saddleup

With the start of a new month, I thought I would take time to re-introduce myself to my new connections…. Hi, I’m Stacey, one of the Internal recruiters for the Crown Group and GAP Plastics. I'm nearly 13 years in and still loving my time here. I have had the privilege to explore many areas of the business over the years, and landing within the recruitment team has allowed me to take all the knowledge I gained and use that to place some absolutely fantastic candidates into the business. Recruitment had never been in my career plan. At first, I thought, “Absolutely not, I am not even going to like it” Kate Murray will confirm this! but after a few weeks, I realised I was doing exactly what I loved…. Talking all day and getting to know the ins and outs of other areas of business, to be blunt, I get to be nosey! 👃🏻👀 Recently I have found I have had a real interest in engineering and maintenance, and over the past few weeks, I have engaged with engineering and maintenance professionals via LinkedIn. 🤝 This has reinforced my love for recruiting in this industry. The field of Engineering and Maintenance is fascinating and constantly evolving. It's incredible how engineers can interpret complex engineering drawings and ladder diagrams to determine what needs to be done. Initially, I thought recruiting fuel service engineers would be an easy task, but I was mistaken. I had to learn a lot about engineering, and as I delved deeper into the work being completed, I discovered a newfound love for everything related to engineering. 😍 My conversations with candidates in engineering or maintenance have been very educational. Every interaction has taught me something new, whether it was about a new piece of machinery or an explanation of how to find a fault on a PLC control board. 🤓 A few years ago, I was tasked with expanding the maintenance engineering team for our windows and doors manufacturing sites. I visited the site and learned about the computer-controlled machinery operating systems that use the latest technology within the fenestration industry. 💻 Our current team has an excellent working relationship and is always willing to help me understand what it takes to be part of the team. They support each other with PPMs, faults, breakdowns, and installations. With our business growing in every direction and more orders coming through our manufacturing site, we are always looking for engineers and technicians who are up for a new challenge. 🔍 If you are interested in discussing your current positions and experiences or learning more about what we do, please feel free to contact me via email at 📧S.thomson@crownoil.co.uk / stacey.thomson@gap.uk.com or call me on 📞 07341888612. Thank you for taking the time to read this. I am always willing to help and expand my knowledge, so don't hesitate to contact me. #recruitment #business #appreciation #hiring #engineering #maintenance #technician #shiftmaintenance #production

For engineers, attitude is SO important. Having the right attitude will go a long way in your job search and career. What stands out to me and maintenance/engineering managers: They’re enthusiastic Really listen to the details You only have to tell them once It would sway a lot of hiring managers choice when deciding between candidates. Do you agree? #MaintenanceEngineer #Recruiter #Atittude

The Challenge of Finding Top Maintenance Engineers Securing skilled maintenance engineers has become progressively difficult due to surging demand and shifting technical requirements. The gap in experience is notable—many applicants possess theoretical knowledge but fall short on practical hands-on experience, elongating and intensifying the recruitment process. There's also a considerable gap in soft skills. Engineers with technical capabilities frequently lack communication skills, vital for collaboration and problem-solving. Finding individuals who possess both technical expertise and interpersonal skills is uncommon. Our objective is to hire dependable engineers who not only fit the role but can also evolve within our organisation. Please share your thoughts and experiences on this topic. Let's exchange insights! #engineering #recruitment #skillgap
