Today’s public meeting of the New Jersey Cannabis Regulatory Commission included its usual data share from Director Wesley McWhite III of the Office of Diversity and Inclusion. This is the first time we recall seeing the information from this slide shared below. (Screenshot during public Zoom meeting.) Apparently, #NewJersey outperforms other states when it comes to awarding licenses to diversely-owned entities, including Minority Owned and Women Owned. Our mission at the NJCEA - New Jersey Cannabis Equity Association is to advance equity in New Jersey’s cannabis industry, a public policy goal that underpins our State’s law. #cannabis #publicpolicy #diversity #inclusion #cannabis #equity

If you want to know more about the cannabis complexities in MN, it's a great article!
Had a great time at a table discussion with the incredible individuals in the thriving #cannabis community in MN. It was enlightening to delve into the complexities faced by various industries in dealing with a product legal at the state level but not federally. From banking to laws, medical versus recreational use, impact on industry employees, and tax considerations, the conversation covered it all. A big thank you to David Faust, Jeff Bajek, Jody Oberer, Carol R. M. Moss, Leili Fatehi, Amber Shimpa, & Whitney-Lehr Koening for the engaging discussion. Particularly impressed by the focus on #WomenInWeed, leading the conversations with passion and expertise! https://lnkd.in/gfiY4WFS
