🚗 It’s Road Safety Week! 🚗 With the current weather, it is quite fitting that this week is Road Safety Week. I witnessed two road traffic accidents in Norfolk just this morning! Road Safety is everyone’s responsibility – and knowing how to respond in an emergency can be just as important as staying safe on the road. At MJ Training, we offer essential first aid courses that provide you with the skills to help in case of a road-related emergency. Whether it's learning CPR, handling bleeding, or managing shock, these life-saving skills could make all the difference in a roadside incident. This Road Safety Week, let's commit to staying safe on the road and being prepared to help others when they need it most. Stay safe. Drive carefully. Be prepared. 💙 #RoadSafetyWeek #FirstAidMatters #BePrepared #MJTraining #LifeSavingSkills

Good morning, Today’s #BELDON SAFETY Tuesday focused on making SAFETY a priority both at work and at home. We reflected on how we’d feel if a loved one visited our job site. Mario Flores from CPR San Antonio taught us First Aid techniques, including CPR, the Heimlich maneuver, and how to apply tourniquet preparing us to act in emergencies. We also reviewed November’s vehicle safety data and celebrated achievements like SAFE Miles Driven and team members caught working safely. Every safety decision we make protects not only our team but also our families. Let’s stay committed to a safe work environment! #SafetyFirst #TeamSafety #BeldonSafety #WorkplaceSafety #FamilyAndSafety #FirstAidTraining #CPRTraining #SafeDriving #SafetyCulture #RoofingLife #RoofingExperts #RoofingSolutions #RoofingContractor #RoofingCommunity #RoofingIndustry #RoofingSafety #RoofingTips #RoofingRepairs #RoofingInstallation #ResidentialRoofing #CommercialRoofing #RoofingProfessionals

🌿 Last week, we hosted our Walk Leader Training Day, bringing together trainees from lots of different organisations across Norfolk! 🙌 The day started with a hands-on first aid session led by Ralda Rodger from RCR Services (UK) Ltd where we practiced CPR, learned to use a defibrillator, and got valuable tips on managing outdoor incidents. 🏥 In the afternoon, we dove into risk assessments and discussed how to effectively communicate risks to walkers. We also covered the important roles and responsibilities of being a walk leader. 🚶♂️🚶♀️ The goal? To share best practices and ensure our walks are safe, enjoyable, and accessible for everyone! 🌳💚 💬Some participants left some great feedback from the day. “It was good to talk about the first aid course as a group and get ideas and feedback from other people. I thought the 'what could go wrong' section was really useful as it helped me to think through possible scenarios and how I might deal with them” “The first aid course was hands-on; detailed but understandable. The booklet is the best I've seen” #WalkLeaderTraining #OutdoorSafety #PathmakersNorfolk #WalkNorfolk #FirstAid #walksforall #safewalking #cprtrained #trainingdays #walkleadertraining #walkleaders #lifesaving #walkingsafety #walksafety #accessiblewalks

📢 Safety Week PSA: double check your CPR / First Aid certs and make sure they are current! If it's not current, look into renewing asap if this isn't already done through your work requirements. I realized that my own CPR certification had lapsed in the last few months, but quickly got signed up for a training in the next week or so 🙂. 💡 Even though I'm not on a construction site every day currently, I know this certification is tremendously valuable - it can one day help save a life. If you're not certified yet, or don't work on a construction site/aren't required to for work, I highly recommend getting certified anyway. It's great feeling confident and prepared to help others in emergency situations, and you'll also gain an invaluable skill set. There are many fantastic resources out there to find a class, however this link was helpful with finding training near me: https://lnkd.in/g4nKsFQG Take the time to learn a life saving skill - you won't regret it. Stay safe everyone! #safetyweek2024 #cprcertified #firstaidcertified #training #renewals #savealife #construction #constructionsafety #constructionsafetyweek2024 #safetyweek

I often reflect back on my time as a firefighter/paramedic. Although many of the memories I wish I could forget, these are the ones I cherish the most. The enjoyment you see from kids as you educate them on fire safety, equipment, and day to day operations makes it all worth while. Fire safety education is important at all levels of an organization. Increase your knowledge and advance positive fire and life safety behaviors among your organization. Have a plan of action, train on the plan, and execute the plan! #FireSafety #ThompsonSafety #FireTraining

Invaluable Skills Learned: BASIC FIRST AID & FIRE TRAINING Yesterday, I had the privilege of attending a truly impactful session: BASIC FIRST AID & FIRE TRAINING. This comprehensive program equipped me with the knowledge and skills to potentially save lives in critical situations. The session covered a wide range of topics, from the Good Samaritan Law and CPR techniques to fire safety measures and extinguisher use. I particularly found the breakdown of the 4 Ls (Look, Listen, Locate, and Lift) and the in-depth exploration of CPR according to the latest AHA standards incredibly valuable. The practical demonstrations, including CPR on mannequins and fire extinguisher training, solidified my understanding of the presented concepts. Key Takeaways: * The importance of being a responsible bystander and the legal protections offered by the Good Samaritan Law. * The crucial steps of primary survey (Response, Breathing, Heartbeat & Bleeding) and CPR techniques. * How to handle various emergencies like choking, burns, and snake bites. * Fire safety principles, fire extinguisher types and their proper use. Overall, this training session empowered me with the confidence to act in an emergency. I highly recommend similar programs to anyone who wants to be prepared to help others in need. #FirstAid #FireSafety #LifesavingSkills #EmergencyPreparedness #GiveBack

[SAFETY WEEK] - DAY 4 - FIRE PREVENTION & FIRST AID Our fourth day of Colis Prive BeLux Safety Week was all about Fire Prevention and First Aid. A review of the basic rules was definitely a way for us to tackle this. Using a quiz, we challenged our teams' knowledge and made everyone aware again of what can be avoided by a correct first response in case of an accident. Would you pass the test? Then answer the following question for yourself or in the comments: What should you do to someone who may have a concussion? A. Let the victim lie down quietly or sit up properly B. Allow the victim to move for good circulation C. Have the victim sit with their head between their knees Monday we will give you the answer and you will know whether it might be time for you too to undergo vital training. #WeAreColisPrivé #SafetyWeek #PreventionistheFirstSolution #WorldOrganisationHealthandSafetyDay

We have sterling achievements at the workplace, impressive KPIs and are undoubtedly confident of our leadership capabilities. But are we confident of performing life-saving aid as a bystander? Studies have shown that bystander CPR increases survival rates by two to three times, and bystander first aid are crucial in accidents. Am glad I took the full course with #Singaporeredcross. This certification is not for the resume, it is a meaningful skill because maybe all a person has is less than 60 seconds. #learningneverends
