When working with athletes, and many pieces of the puzzle in athlete development being involved, this can become a difficult area to manage. However it is important, if all involved with the development of the athlete and team can have the same unified focus, this becomes increasingly simple to navigate. The best way to go about this is to have a unified approach of keeping athletes injury free. If we, as strength and conditioning coaches, sport scientists, rehabilitation professionals, and sport coaches, can all have a unified approach of keeping all the athletes injury free as our main priority, this will lead to more time of play for the athlete and less time missed due to injury. Yes injury is never fully avoidable, and yes the result of competition should be important in sport, however the main focus needs to always be on the athlete and always be on keeping that athlete injury free.

The most important factor in this discussion should be keeping the athlete injury free. ——— @silvestrisportsperformance What we do today makes our body more resilient for tomorrow. www.silvestrisportsperformance.ca 416-901-7717 ——— #silvestrisportsperformance #str

Athletes DON’T learn from their mistakes… They learn from reflecting on their mistakes. ✅ “What went wrong?” “What did I do right?” “How can I train to prevent this from happening again?” Asking questions like these can help paint a clear picture of exactly what you need to do to improve 📈 - #sportstraining #sportpsychology #mentaltraining #athletemotivation #athleticperformance

S&C coaches, sport psychologists, performance coaches or similar, your guidance would be appreciated. I'm going to start doing some S&C work at www.sportstest.co.uk in Cannock (West Midlands), and I'm in the process of deciding on a pricing structure. I'll be doing some small group work and some 1-2-1 work, mostly with adults but some juniors as well, and almost all of whom will be competing in endurance sports. What is a typical/reasonable rate/structure?

S&C coaches often talk about the importance of practicing what you preach, in regards to strength training. But, not for conditioning 🤔 Do any other S&C coaches try out the conditioning programs they write for athletes/clients? Below is the field session I did today ☀️ 👌 #strengthandconditioning #strengthandconditioningcoach
