"You need a cofounder"
Might be the most common advice from VCs
And they are wrong
Of course, if you have someone you trust and that person compliments you, then having a cofounder can be a great idea
But having a bad cofounder is worse than having no cofounder. After all, the number 1 cause of startups failing is cofounder disagreement
Plenty of amazing companies have been built with solofounders (see below)
Would guess that the share of successes only increases the next decade with the incredible tooling now available
Do what is best for you. Not what someone who met you for 20 minutes tells you to do
