⚡️ Major milestone achieved in breakthrough project!
We’ve completed the Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) for the Quadro Master DC switchboards on the #Windkeeper project.
🌟 Excitingly, these are not just any DC switchboards. This is the next generation of Quadro Master, and the two Windkeepers will be the first vessels to have it.
⚙️ The quest for energy efficiency is shaping modern maritime design. Reducing vessel size and weight is an effective tool for cutting energy consumption because lighter vessels are inherently fuel-efficient. Less is more. To meet these demands, we have developed a slimmer and lighter Quadro Master, with the same optimal performance. Raising the bar for energy efficiency at sea.
⚡️ Equipped with Odin's Eye bus-tie solution, the switchboards form a fully redundant, ring-based DC electrical power system, providing the vessel with numerous operational benefits. The system design features multiple redundancy groups and batteries, enhancing the vessel's efficiency, reliability, and safety during DP operation by maintaining maneuverability during demanding environmental conditions and managing large, short-term loads effectively.
