🚨 The Senate has passed the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) with alarming provisions that target LGBTQ+ rights and undermine DEI initiatives. This is a direct threat to the safety, well-being, and rights of our transgender siblings and military families with trans youth. We must take action now. In his ads and speeches Trump keeps threatening the safety and rights of trans youth (https://lnkd.in/gFRcNeND). I know it's often helpful to have resources to send to friends, family, teachers and administrators about how to make/keep schools safe places for LGBTQ students in a time of increasing attacks. We want to reassure everyone that there is not yet any public evidence, policy, or decision from the incoming administration. At this point, this is speculative, and nothing is certain or definitive. That said, we are concerned that another ban remains a possibility, and we deeply understand the fear and uncertainty this incites for so many service members and their loved ones. The wealthy White supremacist male majority has spoken once again. Their money convinced a majority of Americans who have internalized the elements of White supremacist ideology in part or in whole. Over the next four years we will observe all of those elements being expressed in the targeting of African Americans, Latinxs, Muslims, indigenous peoples, migrants, members of the LGBTQ+ community, women and low-income Whites. Now is a time to organize and protect these groups.

URGENT ACTION ALERT! Congress wants to deny medical coverage for LGBTQ+ Military Youth. WE CAN'T LET THIS HAPPEN. Senator Schumer has the ability to update the language of the NDAA and/or remove the provision barring medically necessary care for LGBTQ+ youth under Tricare. The Senate could vote as early as Thursday. What you can do: 1. Contact Schumer's office and demand he exercise his duties to protect our LGBTQ+ military youth 2.
