Modulek LTD’s Post

After what feels like a very long winter, Spring is finally here. Lighter days, warmer weather and the sound of bird songs has made us look back fondly at a Marina project in the most stunning setting – the banks of the Hamble Estuary. Nesting birds within an estuary means that there is a very limited window of opportunity for a project to be built, and for Hamble Yacht Services, Environmental Officers and the Local Authority were keen that the process should be a short as possible and at just the right time. Modulek Operations Director Brian Pester talks about how modular construction can provide a solution to these very short windows of opportunity and Director at Hamble Yacht Services Tim Yetman explains how this enabled the build to go ahead on such an environmentally sensitive site. Watch our video to see how we tackled environmental challenges and used modular construction to bring this project to life on the scenic Hamble Estuary.
