Some things that makes our Fire Marshal training at EFS different… We take delegates around their work place to look at their current fire safety measures. We discuss what they see using the information they have learnt. They then make suggestions for improving, where required, so that they feel they can contribute to their safety and that of their colleagues. No two Fire Marshal courses are the same. Their site their issues their solutions. #firemarshal #firewarden #healthandsafety

Many organisations appoint fire marshals (or wardens) to meet legal obligations under fire safety legislation, particularly for premises evacuations. But how can we ensure these fire marshals are effectively trained? Without careful consideration, training can become a costly exercise with limited benefits. To ensure success, we need to focus on the actual duties fire marshals will undertake, determine their training needs, and provide appropriate training. Thoughtful and well-planned training leads to competent fire marshals and a safer organisation overall. Let's prioritise effective training for our fire safety teams! 🦺 You can find out more in our guide, if you would like a copy get in touch with me! #FireSafety #Training #FireMarshals #SafetyFirst #WorkplaceSafety

So politics aside, if the new administration appoints a “Public safety Czar” and designs and incorporates a set is standards such as Fire 1, BVR, Hazmat Ops, etc. Would you support a national standard, I obviously know they State decides, but would you support a national standard that could guarantee a specific level on training a cross the land. For better understanding, in NIMS we have typing of equipment, a level 1 engine means it has “x”. It would be the same for staffing, a level 1 firefighter has x training and so on. I know it would be great nationally, but think about a small rural department at 3 in the morning, if I call mutual aid I'm getting x type of qualifications. I know the issues, volunteer rates down, funding, access to training, blah blah, but is it something in a grand scheme you could get behind?
