Have you ever hired a designer to design icons? I was... My first internship was in 2019 as a graphic design intern, where I exclusively worked on icon design. While every intern's dream was to design something big and unique, I was given a brief that required me to create something small, simple, and easy to understand. That's what graphic design is all about... I believe in a quote that says, "If your design doesn't solve anything, your design is art." I realized during my internship that even a small dot or corner design can make a huge difference in the overall design. Every brief in design was different, but the agenda was the same: "We are facing this problem. Can you solve it with the new design?" It's like we are warriors in front of the laptop screen. This is the belief we carry. There are designers who know 10+ software and countless AI techniques to create something immersive. But when you create a design using Canva and it works wonders for your client, does that mean you are not a designer? A VERY BIG NOOOOOO.... - Your design can be beautiful or ugly. - Your design can be small or big. - Your design can have multiple colors, many effects, and glows. But if it does not convey what it must, then it's not a design. P.S.: My first internship office space.
