🌳🏙️🌴Greener cities are less vulnerable to extreme weather events. This is because green spaces can reduce a phenomenon known as the urban heat island effect. In JASPERS, we're looking forward to seeing the impact the Green Belt will have in Taranto, Italy. Comune di Taranto is adopting a sustainable urban development strategy, focused on implementing a green plan based on the Green Belt model, which is a network of urban, peri-urban, and rural parks encircling the city. This innovative project includes: 🌲🏢🌲 the development of multifunctional green areas around inhabited centres, linking them together through a new green network, 🚴🚶♂️ 🚊 promoting sustainable mobility options such as cycling, walking and public transport. We will support the city in identifying relevant solutions on topics like energy efficiency, water and waste treatment and management, NBS, use of materials, and risk management. #ClimateAction #ClimateChange #GreenerCities #SustainableMobility #ClimateResilience #SUMPs #EIBAdvisory

🌟 Exciting developments in sustainable transport! Gothenburg is once again taking a leading role in the green transition with a project aiming to support the transition of the boating industry through electrification. This innovative initiative, a collaboration between Sweden and Norway, will establish over 400 charging points for electric boats along the coast from Gothenburg to Kristiansand in Norway. 🔌 🚤 The go:LEIF project highlights the region's commitment to sustainable transport and green innovation. By focusing on smart technology and sustainable business models, Gothenburg and its partners are setting the standard for the future of recreational boating. This project not only supports the reduction of CO2 emissions but also promotes the use of renewable energy sources. The project is already making significant strides, having recently launched a super fast charger in Lysekil on the Swedish west coast and established both public and homeport charging stations in two Gothenburg marinas. The green transition demands collaboration, and in Gothenburg, we are masters of collaboration. Join us in this collective effort to achieve the sustainable boating of future! 🌍⚡🚤 📖 Read more about the project: https://lnkd.in/dMe6vJDp Co-financiers: Interreg Öresund-Kattegat-Skagerrak and Västra Götalandsregionen. Next week, Niels Astrup, Aqua superPower's Business Development Manager Nordics, will be presenting at a key stakeholder conference at Bølgen bærekraftsenter , exploring how Agder can take the lead in electrification at sea. Municipalities and counties hold some of the most important keys to speeding up the market for electric boats in Norway. Many people lack knowledge about what opportunities municipalities and counties have, and how to take advantage of them in practical terms. Electrification applies to leisure boats, the tourist industry, fishing boats, small ferries, work boats, water taxis, etc. The conference includes local politicians to discuss what municipalities and key stakeholders in the south of Norway (Kristiansand) can do to help speed up the charging infrastructure in Norway. Check out the full programme of this important conference here: https://lnkd.in/e39pPzgZ #electricboats #cleanboating #cleantech #emarine #sustainability #netzero #marinefastcharging #charginginfrastructure #aquasuperpower

Why you do things drives how you do things. This time to stop & think has been vital for generating ideas, sharing the insights that will shape our direction and re-set our focus on what can further accelerate our positive impact. #climatetech #startups #innovation
Stop and Think. We gathered in Tuscany with our entire team a few days ago, surrounded by the beautiful landscapes that inspired us to move forward. We paused to reflect on our journey, acknowledging our efforts and achievements, and began mapping out the route for the months ahead to build the Green Future Project we envision. Each GFP member plays a vital role in our mission. Yet, it’s the synergy of our efforts that truly leads us to make a positive impact on this journey, socially and environmentally. It all began in 2020 by our founder and CEO, Pietro Pasolini dall'Onda, and it has gradually evolved, attracting bright minds along the way and shaping us into the Green Future Project Team we are today. #GreenFutureProject #Team

Demo plant not only for PET Chemical Recycling, but also for innovative state of the art automation! #IEC61499 as underlying international standard. UniversalAutomation.org providing the open reference implementation of a modern, object-oriented and event-driven real-time runtime. Schneider Electric, ASRock Industrial Computer, R. STAHL Group, ESA Automation & Robotics selected because of the quality of their control hardware and not because of any "vendor lock-in" mechanism. Project ACRN + Proxmox Server Solutions to test flexible, hybrid (real-time/non-real-time) virtualization on the edge, between OT and IT. On top of a functional architecture mirroring some of the key principles of The O-PAS™ Standard, we've been using #EcostruxureAutomationExpert to implement the control software layers governing our plant, with a new design methodology internally conceived to simplify and homogenize the distribution of the implementation effort across multiple SIs. This achievement is not only a fundamental milestone for gr3n , but also a personal satisfaction in showing that it is possible to push for innovative automation at industrial level!
-INAUGURATION OF THE NEW DEMO PLANT- On March 7, 2024, we officially inaugurated our new industrial demonstration plant in Albese con Cassano, near Lake Como. It was a good occasion to meet our partners and reinforce our idea that an ecosystem is fundamental to doing something tangible. We had speeches from our CEO, Maurizio Crippa, our CTO, Franco Antonio Cavadini, but also from Claudio Giulianetti (Schneider Electric), John Conway (UniversalAutomation.org), Carmine Carlo Ammirati (Alcantara S.p.A.), and Ernesto de la Serna (Intecsa Industrial, our partner for the industrial plant in Spain). We showed the attendees what we are doing, what are the features of the new demo plant, and in which way our partners are helping GR3N move to the next stage. #gr3n #polyester #recycling #sustainability #demoplant
