🌱 Great news! #Klaipeda City, our EU-CONEXUS stakeholder, has been accepted into the #DivAirCity H2020 project. Universitatea Tehnică de Construcții București and #Bucharest City sector 2 are already partners in implementation. In the DivAirCity Twinning Programme, the project's five pilot cities - #Aarhus, #Bucharest, #Castellon, #Orvieto, and #Potsdam - have been paired with #EU cities and at least one from outside the #EU. Twinned cities will work together in the upcoming 12 months on #airpollution mitigation and adaptation, innovative nature-based solutions, #citizenengagement methodologies, practices to facilitate #inclusivedialogues, address challenges related to access #urbandata, and mitigate biases and much more.

The CROSS project recently had the opportunity to meet with three exceptional initiatives—BAPAURA (BAOBAP), re-MODULEES, and EUROPA One-Stop-Shop —to exchange insights and foster collaboration on advancing #OneStopShops (#OSS) for public #buildingrenovation. 💡🏛️ Here’s what we learned from each project: ➡️ BAPAURA: Pioneering #energyrenovation services in France’s Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region with a replicable business model for public buildings in small municipalities. ➡️ re-MODULEES: Developing EU-wide strategies to activate #retrofit markets, with digital and physical Renovation Hubs at its core. ➡️EUROPA One-Stop-Shop: Streamlining deep renovations of residential buildings in five EU countries through integrated business models and #energyefficiency services. The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) reports that "on average, 30% of energy used in commercial buildings is wasted." Drive near a downtown city with towers and try to count the number of floors with lights left on. It seems only logical to turn off the lights or power to areas of the building that aren't in use.
