There is a lot of talk about the workforce crisis in Connecticut. In my opinion, we exhaust a tremendous amount of energy talking about the problem. We know what the problems are, but we talk little about how we are going to solve them. While it is important and we continue to invest in workforce development, we still have open positions in the manufacturing sector. Clearly, investing in workforce development alone will not solve the problem - it hasn't solved the problem yet. In April, the Office of Manufacturing will be releasing our plan to full employment in the manufacturing sector. It is a survival plan that will share our vision, will aggregate current workforce development strategies across the state and introduce new initiatives from the Office of Manufacturing to get to full employment by 2030. If you are a manufacturing company that desires to get to full employment and maximize your business opportunities, you will want to attend.
