🌟 Feeling Under the Weather? Get Grounded! 🌟 As we transition into this time of year, it’s not uncommon to find ourselves battling viruses. That's where I was a week or so ago, and it hit me like a ton of bricks!!! When you're feeling crummy, it’s all too easy to get derailed from your regular self-care routines. You might not feel like doing the things you know will help, like getting enough sleep, staying hydrated, eating well, or even eating anything, or even just taking a moment for yourself. But here’s the thing: when you’re feeling bad, grounding yourself and your energy can make a world of difference! 🌍✨ Grounding helps you reconnect with your body, center your thoughts, and conserve energy, which is especially important when your body is working hard to heal. Here’s a gentle 10-minute grounding practice you can do from the comfort of your cozy spot: 1. Find Your Space (1 minute): Settle into a comfortable position, whether sitting or lying down. Create a calming atmosphere—dim the lights or close the curtains. 2. Deep Breathing (2 minutes): Close your eyes and take a deep breath in through your nose for a count of 4, hold for 4, and exhale through your mouth for a count of 6. Repeat this to find your rhythm. 3. Body Scan (3 minutes): Bring awareness to your body, starting at the top of your head and moving down. Notice any tension and breathe into those areas, allowing them to relax. 4. Visualization (3 minutes): Imagine yourself resting on soft earth or grass, with roots extending from your body into the ground. Visualize warm, healing light surrounding you, filling you with comfort and energy. 5. Affirmation (1 minute): Repeat to yourself: “I am safe. I am healing. I am supported.” Let these words resonate within you. Remember, it’s perfectly okay to slow down and take care of yourself. Grounding can help you navigate this season with a little more ease, even when your energy feels low. Bookmark this one for when you need it!!! Sending you all healing vibes! 🌿💖 #Grounding #SelfCare #Healing #Mindfulness #WellnessJourney #YouGotThis

Relax! You know you should do it, you don't because you say you don't have time. Maybe you don't really know how to relax and you think 'meditation' is weird and woo woo. I can tell you that my meditations are not woo woo. If you give my meditation a listen, "Relax in less than 20 minutes" ... you will feel relaxed. I wrote and recorded this meditation for the busy professional person, who thinks they are too busy to relax, too busy for taking time out. If that is you, you are not giving yourself the gift you need right now. What will my meditation do for you? 😀 Helps your body and mind to relax 😀 Lower stress hormones like cortisol - these cause a lot of damage 😀 Reduces anxiety and stress 😀 Leave you feeling much calmer 😀 Strengthens your immune system 😀 Improves emotional strength 😀 Improves focus and attention 😀 Encourages better quality sleep These are 'some' of the benefits that are backed by science. So, ready to give it a try? Do something today just for you ... Tuning into Tranquility #1: Embrace Mindful Moments Tune in as life can be a whirlwind... So let's slow it down and embrace mindful moments. Take a few deep breaths, savor a cup of tea, or just sit quietly for a minute. These little pockets of peace can do wonders for your mind and soul. Breathe in tranquility, and breathe out stress. As an exercise, breathe in through your nose for 4 seconds, hold for two, and then release out of your mouth for four seconds. This will help your nervous system calm down. Do this three times and see how you become more aware of the present moment.
