It is Wednesday, so I'm excited to share my latest episode of the Climate Confident podcast where I had a fascinating conversation with Dr Denis Phares, the founder and CEO of Dragonfly Energy Corporation. Denis and I delved into their groundbreaking dry electrode manufacturing process for lithium-ion batteries. Unleashing the Power of Energy

To durably remove #CO2 from the atmosphere, we must first capture it. 🫧 Some #carbonremoval providers focus on capture, others on storage – and while a focused approach has its merits, neustark holds all pieces of the value chain together: from source to sink to certificate. To capture our #biogenic CO2, we work with biogas partners. Through a technical process called #biogas upgrading, CO2 gets separated from methane (CO2 makes up ~40-50% of the raw gas). 👨🔬 Usually, the CO2 is simply released back into the atmosphere. 💨 Now this is where neustark comes into play!   Our #technology, installed at the existing plant, captures the CO2 offgas directly at its source. Due to the upstream processes, it’s already vastly pure (~98%). We then liquefy it on site for efficient transport to our nearby #storage plants, where the CO2 is removed from the atmosphere! 🔒   Point source capture allows us to save time and energy vs. filtering CO2 out of the air (with a concentration of ~0,04%) and purifying it before #permanently storing it. Et voilà, that’s how we create decisive #negativeemissions to reach our #netzero goals. 🌎🌱
