As kids grow up, the amount of control an adult has over their decisions digitally diminishes. However, this doesn't mean that there can not be any impact made when it comes to their online safety. Here are some tips for keeping teens safe online: 1️⃣ Foster an open dialogue about possible online experiences and sign an internet agreement to create a safe space for them to share and learn. 2️⃣ Talk about information sharing and ensure profiles are kept private, only those they know in person are added, and personal details are not posted publicly. 3️⃣ Don't allow any devices in their bedrooms at night. 4️⃣ Discuss the red flags of exploitative people and situations online, as well as how they can respond in those moments. Share the possible harms that can be done digitally, so that they understand danger can exist digitally. #SexualExploitationEducation #SexualExploitationAwareness #CyberSafety #OnlineSafety #InternetSafety #OnlineSafetyTips #Parenting #ParentingTips

In today's digital age, Cyberbullying is a real concern for kids. As parents, we can empower kids with strategies to respond effectively and combat Cyberbullying. One such strategy is the S-T-O-P approach: 🛑 S: Step away. Encourage kids to disengage from hurtful online situations. 🛑 T: Tell a trusted adult. Remind them to confide in someone they trust. 🛑 O: OK sites only. Stick to safe online platforms. 🛑 P: Pause and think. Encourage them to consider their actions before responding. By teaching empathy and identifying trusted adults, we help our kids navigate the digital world with confidence. Together, let's create a cyber-safe environment for our children. #CyberSafety #ParentingTips #DigitalResilience
