I’m beyond humbled and excited to have the opportunity to contribute to strengthening the United States’ industrial base. With over a decade of experience in drug development and rare disease advocacy, I am now able to bring that expertise to the forefront, working to secure our national defense and stimulate innovation in the bio-economy and biotechnology sectors. Building bridges between external networks, resources, and cutting-edge innovations is crucial for our nation’s future. Working alongside some of the most powerful and visionary people in the world, I’m ready to protect and defend our country while driving forward advancements in biotech and beyond. #NationalDefense #Bioeconomy #BiotechInnovation #DrugDevelopment #IndustrialBase #RareDiseaseAdvocacy #Innovation #Biotechnology #FutureofDefense #ProudToServe #StrategicLeadership 💡🚀🛡️

I think the lack of an American Industrial Base is one of the gravest threats to our freedom and prosperity. And as Brynt Parmeter says, that starts with the People Industrial Base. This new talent program creates an opportunity for America’s elite technical leaders to serve, for our military to benefit from their immense and bleeding edge private sector experience, and an opportunity to galvanize Americans by seeing their technical titans of industry in uniform.  https://lnkd.in/gnTss2Uj This builds on my observations after Oct 7 in Israel (https://lnkd.in/gxXEu-23). This isn't about the 24 year old coder or the 35 year old management consultant. We have those programs, and they are great. But we need something more. In the Cold War, large swaths of America C-suite were prior service. We can't overstate the impact of the Great Schism of Commercial Innovation from Defense crystalized by the Last Supper. We need to mobilize America's top CTOs and elite technologists as uniformed service members. Even better than Reserves is Part Time -- use United States Space Force's Part Time authorities to build a new path of voluntary civil-military fusion focused on talent -- the top 1000 minds in America. We aren't talking about a weekend a month and 2 weeks a year. We are talking about 2-10 hours /week, plugged in. In WWII and the Cold War, we had an American Industrial Base, not a Defense Industrial Base. Chrysler built cars and missiles. Ford built satellites until 1990. General Mills, the cereal company, made artillery. At the fall of the Berlin Wall, only 6% of Defense weapon system spending went to Defense Specialists. Our economy looks very different today. It doesn't have to. 🇺🇸
