Is your little one easily distracted? These Montessori hacks can help them develop laser focus and a love for learning! 💞 #1 Instead of constantly introducing new activities, try to encourage repetition with a simple "Would you like to do that again?" Repetition builds confidence and mastery. #2 Instead of hovering and micromanaging, try to sit back and enjoy the process. Observe their exploration, and only intervene for safety reasons. #3 Instead of showering them with "good job," try to acknowledge their efforts. Phrases like ""I see you pouring carefully!" build self-awareness and intrinsic motivation. #4 Instead of a cluttered space, try to create a focused environment. Remove distractions to help them fully immerse themselves in the activity. #5 Instead of easy tasks, try to provide age-appropriate challenges. These activities will keep them engaged and develop their concentration skills. 👩💻Ready to unlock your child's potential with Montessori? Take your step-by-step Montessori journey with us. Parents sometimes feel that if they don’t criticize their child, the child will never learn. This belief is deeply ingrained in many cultures, where discipline often equates to correction, and correction is tied to criticism. However, at Imani Montessori, we suggest a different path: nurturing a child’s growth through encouragement rather than criticism. Read more on our blog to see why encouragement works: https://lnkd.in/d3GGxBQ2

I am super positive in my lessons! As well as my PGCE and UK based teaching experience, I have also been influenced by Maria Montessori, as my daughter attends a brilliant Montessori pre-school. One of the key ways Montessori guides (they're not called teachers) interact with the children is to praise their progress and effort, rather than the final outcome. Some examples of this are "you've worked really hard on that" or "you really concentrated on building that tower". I think it fits really well with a growth mindset approach and encourages children to keep going, instead of thinking "I can't do this!" and giving up. What do you think of this approach? Do you know much about Montessori? #montessori #mariamontessori #growthmindset #homeeducation

Montessori vs Traditional Education: Why it matters. Ever wondered what makes Montessori education unique? At Southside Montessori, we do things differently to empower each child’s natural curiosity and potential. Child-Led Exploration vs. Teacher-Led Instruction: Our students choose activities that interest them, fostering independence and a love of learning. Traditional classrooms often follow a rigid, one-size-fits-all curriculum. Multi-Age Classrooms vs. Age-Based Grouping: In Montessori, children of different ages learn together, encouraging peer teaching, leadership, and collaboration—a sharp contrast to age-segregated traditional classes. Hands-On Learning vs. Rote Memorisation: Montessori students engage deeply with tactile, real-world experiences. Traditional education often relies on lectures and worksheets. Whole-Child Growth vs. Academic Focus: We nurture social, emotional, and intellectual development, preparing children for life, not just standardised tests or exams. Curious how this approach shapes confident, compassionate learners? We’d love to hear your thoughts! Follow us for more insights on Montessori education. https://lnkd.in/db5_EVm
