Current #tax law is set to revert to the same rules pre-TCJA at the end of 2025 (unless #Congress passes new legislation beforehand). With these potential changes, it may make sense to review your current and potential #deductions from taxable income: - Will you be able to leverage #itemizeddeductions now that the #standarddeduction will be cut in half and #SALT (state & local taxes) will not be capped? - Should you keep your #mortgage rather than pay it off more quickly? - When and how should you complete #charitablegifting? - Are you maxing any available #HSA and pre-tax #401k contributions to lower your taxable income? Additionally, with #marginaltaxrates set to rise, does it make sense to accelerate some of your taxable income now with opportunistic #Rothconversions? All of these #taxplanningstrategies are ones that we are proactively reviewing for clients as we get closer to the potential sunset.
