Back in December I planned on buying some chocolates for Christmas for my buildings' maintenance team.  I learnt this useful tip from the Friends episode where Rachel and Monica made the Superintendent cookies and it stayed with me since.  I went to the website of a local small chocolates business and was ready to buy it all. Unfortunately, the chocolates' store website, was less keen on completing the sale and taking my money - I had to register my details first before I could see the products catalogue, the price was only visible when you drilled down to the weight, no option of multiple shipping addresses (had to go back and change my account details) and nowhere to be found was the shipping fee. When I finally got to the checkout, my card was not on the payment options !  So after all this work, I was left with no chocolates at all - Not to send, not for me (because of course I needed to sample) and not for any future Christmas gift. This got me thinking about how many small businesses with amazing products don’t give a thought to this important aspect of their business. And miss out on so many potential sales and future clients. It also made me think about how I  helped and guided companies on how to give better service to their customers. So why not use these skills and help small businesses that don’t have the resources big companies do to achieve the very same? I now help small businesses with their customer experience, retention and customer support. I’m so so many people have experienced the same journey! Wanting to buy but the systems being against you!! Many small businesses start out by needed to just get a website done, just start selling but it is important to revisit these systems and make them more customer friendly! So many businesses will benefit frok you helping them!
