2 new judgements Court of Justice of the European Union regarding the Council of the European Union #restrictivemeasures concerning #Russia #Ukraine and the family relations criterion. Case Case T‑741/22, and Case T‑744/22. The Court further clarifies the family relations criterion for listing persons, the concept of 'association', and the concept of ‘person benefiting from a leading businessperson’. More concretely, the Court looks into transactions between listed persons which necessarily entail the grant of a non-negligible benefit vs the longstanding business relationship of the listed persons, so that the transactions between them are part of such a business relationship, and not confined strictly to a family framework.

Does Iraq recognize electronic contracts and signatures thereon? The Iraqi law recognizes the conclusion of contracts in electronic form with similar effect to paper [classic] form; the practice, though, faces difficulty in time/place evidencing of the conclusion of electronic contract. Article 88 of the Iraqi Civil Code states that “conclusion of the contract by phone or any other means of communication is a contract between absentees in the place and present in time” this is an implicit reference to electronic contracts and the mechanisms of concluding them.
