What is Inpatient Telemedicine and how it helps? Inpatient telemedicine allows clinicians to consult, diagnose, and treat hospitalized patients without being physically in one location with them. It includes a wide range of services such as tele-ICU, tele-stroke, tele-carts, tele-EEG, and others. So how does it help? Here’s how: 💎 Reduced unnecessary patient transfers between facilities. Required specialized can be integrated into the care process, providing consultations and necessary care online. 💎 Decreased the overall length of hospital stays. This enhances bed availability for incoming patients requiring inpatient care. 💎 Specifically, tele-stroke allows to consult patients in their hospitals, improving outcomes in stroke care, which potentially reduces long-term disabilities. 💎 Maximize the use of the limited number of available doctors. 💎 Decreasing clinicians' stress and burnout by allowing them to provide care remotely, reducing the need to be in different locations. 💎 Optimizes hospital bed usage and patient flow, helping maximize resources amid regulatory and financial limits on bed capacity expansion. #inpatienttelemedicine #telemedicine #telehealth #healthcare

🏥 Baptist Health and Caregility Expand Partnership to Enhance Patient Care Baptist Health and Caregility have announced an expanded partnership aimed at enhancing patient care across the Arkansas-based healthcare organization. The goal is to transform care delivery by leveraging Caregility’s telehealth technology system-wide. The initiative doubles Baptist Health’s usage of Caregility’s intelligent telehealth devices to more than 700 bedsides. This expansion adds virtual clinical resources to support in-person bedside care, ultimately improving patient outcomes. Baptist Health has already seen success with virtual admissions and discharge programs, currently supported by over 300 wall-mounted and cart-based Caregility telehealth devices across 11 hospitals. As part of this collaboration, Baptist Health plans to implement virtual care programs on every medical and surgical floor throughout the organization. Telehealth technology has proven effective in acute settings, enhancing efficiency and throughput. The technology increases the support available for patients by adding virtual resources. Virtual staff can handle tasks that would normally burden bedside staff, enabling bedside staff to focus on more complex patient needs. #digtialhealth #healthsystems #healthcare #healthcareinnovation #acutecare #hospitals

I see Equum Medical at the intersection of the two major themes in healthcare today: workforce redesign and virtual care investment. It's exciting to see the impact we can make together.
For the second consecutive year, Workforce Challenges ranked above financial challenges as the #1 reason keeping hospital CEO's up at night (ACHE survey https://lnkd.in/eZ8_wp_2) Shortages of registered nurses and physician specialists, as well as burnout among staff are the top issues recorded. Solving these challenges requires new ways of delivering care. Telehealth is a growing trend for acute care hospitals to leverage to connect care, anywhere. Echocardiography Backlogs Cleared! Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (NNUH), Tackling patient care challenges with innovation and teamwork! Faced with a significant backlog in echocardiography procedures, NNUH partnered with the NHS Workforce Alliance's Insourcing framework. By bringing in skilled clinical teams during evenings and weekends, they reduced outpatient waiting lists, maintained high service standards, and strengthened patient care pathways. This is a powerful example of how clinical insourcing helps the NHS meet increasing demands while ensuring patients receive the care they need, faster and more efficiently. 💬 Do you think insourcing should be used to help clear more backlogs? 🇬🇧 Several successful examples of #virtualwards in the #NHS that have demonstrated the potential benefits- reducing hospital admission, foster a sense of autonomy, increased engagement in self care and etc. 🇸🇬 As the Ministry of Health (Singapore) embarking on a #transformative journey, it’s important to have the right investment and capability building such as training of healthcare professionals, consider the barriers that households can face and make sure they have the right support available. 🏡 🏥 As #MICHome is rolled out, I would be interested to know about the level of preferences among the different socioeconomic groups. Here’s for a more sustainable and patient-centred healthcare system for the future.

Repost from Ministry of Health (Singapore)'s Youtube Channel. 🏥🛌Tired of waiting for a bed at the hospital? Consider MIC@Home instead. 🏠 MIC@Home stands for Mobile Inpatient Care at Home, and offers patients the option of being cared for in their own home instead of a hospital ward. 👩🏻⚕️Patients will have access to round-the-clock care delivered by a team of healthcare professionals via teleconsultations and home visits. 📑As MIC@Home will become a mainstream model of care in our public healthcare institutions from April 2024, patients will also be supported by subsidies, MediShield and MediSave, no different from a physical inpatient stay. 👀 Watch this video to learn about what MIC@Home can offer you. "A shift to value-based care transformation needs to start by empowering primary care," says Mary Tilak MD, MBA. Here, she describes the importance of a "primary care quarterback" in: 🩺 Driving a preventative strategy for patient care 🧭 Helping patients navigate the complex healthcare landscape 💡 Spearheading shared decision-making among physicians of varied skills and experience in a patient-centered manner Together, these actions drive value. They help patients manage their care while delivering interventions with speed and skill. How are you working to promote the value of primary care? #healthcare #primarycare #value #ptexp #patientexperience #healthtech
There is power in primary care relationships. Recently, I received a text from an emergency room physician in Northwest Indiana. A patient suffering from multiple medical conditions and end-stage organ dysfunction desperately needed comprehensive primary care management. This physician believed our practice would make the difference for the patient. I immediately arranged for the patient to be seen by one of our providers. We then ensured the patient gained access to technologies like home-based care monitoring so we could help the patient manage their condition more effectively and deliver the interventions needed with speed and skill. What do you think primary care’s role is in transforming America’s healthcare system to meet patients' critical needs? It’s a critical question given that 32% of people say they can’t fit a primary care appointment into their schedule, according to a U.S. News & World Report. While two out of three adults plan to have an annual physical this year, 12% do not. Meanwhile, 25% say they don’t like going to a doctor, and 10% say they’ve felt shamed by doctors in the past. We need to educate people in our communities on the importance of a robust “primary care quarterback” relationship both to drive a preventative strategy for their healthcare, but also to navigate the complex healthcare landscape and create value through spearheading a shared decision among physicians of varied skills and experience in a patient-centered manner. Only your educated, well-informed primary care doctor can ask the questions needed to be asked to drive this patient-centered, shared decision. A shift to value-based care transformation needs to start by empowering primary care. How are you working to promote the value of a primary care team in your community? What approaches resonate most in your community, and what are the challenges you’ve faced along the way? Diagnostic safety events are common and pervasive across all healthcare settings, contributing to preventable harm in one in 20 outpatient visits and up to 250,000 inpatient stays each year. Healthcare organizations and clinicians need actionable, practical, and flexible resources to support #diagnosticsafety improvement efforts. #AHRQ recently developed several resources to help prevent #diagnostic safety events. Now, the AHRQ-funded Implementing Diagnostic Excellence Across Systems (IDEAS) project is recruiting healthcare organizations to use and evaluate these resources. If you or your organization is interested in improving #diagnosticsafety with added support and training, visit https://lnkd.in/eA9TYFY6. Please share with health care systems, hospitals, small- and large-group practices, and physician or clinician training programs.
