Today we announced that the Group has delivered another record set of results in the first half, once again reflecting the high quality of its operations and the talent and commitment of our teams. Revenue was up 14% to £2.2bn, our profit before tax was up 17%, to £70.1m, and we have declared an interim dividend of 41.5 pence per share which is up 15%. In addition, the Group’s balance sheet remains strong with net cash of £351m. Following our strong trading performance in the first half, combined with the high-quality secured order book and visibility for the rest of the year, we now expect to deliver a result for the full year which is slightly ahead of our previous expectations. The results video (below) will give you more colour on all the good work this past year. Click the play button on the image below to start.

3moAs a graduate student in our construction industry, it's great to see this news. I can identify several reasons behind this success. For example, after the change in regime, there has been increased focus on our sector. I believe that initiatives such as the reduction in interest rates have helped the industry by making borrowing money cheaper, which should make businesses more confident about investing in their projects. The release of projects that were on hold since 2022 has also contributed to this success. Earlier this year, you mentioned that Morgan Sindall faced challenges in supply chain. Now, july has brought success not only to Morgan Sindall but also to many other construction industry establishments. Despite the anticipated supply chain shortages, I wish you continued success and all the best in the future.
