It is amazing to watch adult children fly... and this son of ours is flying high! I use the phrase, "Grab the popcorn" when good stuff is happening in their lives. And good stuff is happening with John Linford! 🎉 I love being John's mom, and! it is a blast to be peers with him in the business world learning with and from him. This man is going places and so is Deckability! Grab the popcorn! 🍿 and if you are in the business of needing what they do: --> deep-dive analysis --> strategic alignment --> brand articulation --> laser-focused messaging (decks & more) grab your spot in line before the wait list gets too long (and their prices go up)!
I build decks (sales & pitches, not patios) | brand articulation 👉 beautiful presentations 👉 $$ | professional magician (no, really) | co-founder @ Deckability
I quit my job last week. Major season of change for me right now. The first stage is expressing gratitude. My time at Scan123 was amazing. Phenomenal team and culture. Heartening investments into me and my growth. All the while solving interesting problems alongside good humans. Big thanks to Jed McCarthy, Kelly Straine, Jeff Demain, Scott Heffield, Brent Gross and everyone else on the team for being such great leaders. I hope to pay that kind of support and acumen forward as I move into my next venture(s). Speaking of… I’m now full-time, all-in on Deckability. We are a brand articulation firm. We specialize in building decks. We create branding that sells. And I’m hyped outta my mind. We’re building something special, something that’s been validated in the market, solving the pain of unarticulated value propositions, to customers or investors. And we are open for business. (and quickly building a waiting list, so hmu if you’re wanting to get in sooner and before we raise our prices) P.S. the timing worked out perfectly to have our first company retreat this weekend! Great to spend the time with Cole Sweeton and James Dawson 😁

Around 18 months ago I was deeply unhappy in my career. Every minute of every day made me miserable, feeling unable to make an impact in that role. Being a Product Manager was something I fought for and was extremely passionate about and feeling that I was unable to use my experience to help customers made me not even want to get out of bed in the morning. I was bored, unutilised and fed up of fighting to just be able to do my job. I started to put the feelers out for a new opportunity, but this time it was on my terms. I frustrated a lot of recruiters because I knew what I wanted, excitement, a challenge, a start-up and I wanted the full responsibilities of a PM. I wanted a chance to do the job properly, as I believed it should be done, without micromanagement and most importantly surrounded by equally passionate people. The hunt for a role took maybe 8 months, I wasn't without opportunities (countless interviews and several offers) but nothing felt like I wasn't jumping out of the frying pan and into the fire. But then came Metrikus, a chance to tick all of the boxes, on paper at least. A great interview with a head of product that shared so many beliefs in the way the role should be done, a perfect match with Richard Malcolm. Just a second interview in London to go, a chance to meet CPTO Keith Jump and I loved the no BS approach he led with. Keith asked me what would stop me from getting bored like I had before, I simply said "Let me make a difference". The rest is history..... A year in the role and I can honestly say I have enjoyed every single day. I feel like I belong, I have a platform to both utilise my experience and learn lots from my mentors. a fantastic team across the business to work with. Many companies have claimed to be about making work a fantastic place to be but Metrikus are the first one that actually deliver on this. I look forward to hopefully many more exciting years at Metrikus working with the best group of people I could have wished for, creating a product that I truly believe is going to make that difference to our customers. Success isn't built individually, it's built in surrounding yourself in great, likeminded people! I don't believe in fate but I will say with total certainty that I am where I am meant to be!

Stepping into 2025 like... "New year, new me!" 🙄 Just kidding. Same old me, but with a fresh perspective and a heart full of gratitude. 2024 taught me more than I bargained for, and I'm ready to put those lessons to work. Speaking of work, I've got some exciting news: I've got room to onboard new clients and help build that dream team you've been thinking about. Yes, you read that right. Your girl is ready to expand and elevate. So if you're looking to level up your squad in 2025, hit me up. I promise I won't make you do any cringy team-building exercises. (Unless you're into that sort of thing. No judgment here.) Let's make 2025 the year we actually stick to our resolutions. Or at least make it to February before we give up. Who's with me? Drop a 🚀 if you're ready to blast off into the new year! P.S. Seriously though, if you need help growing your team, let's chat. I've got the skills, the experience, and a playlist full of motivational songs to get us through the hiring process.

For me, Doing LESS is TOUGH. But do you want to know what makes it easier? HIRING AMAZING TEAMMATES. As we transition more responsibilities to our Support Advisors, Nolan Rux and Haley Fuhrmann, we’re getting tasks off my and others' plates so we can lean further into our areas of expertise. I’m not just throwing tasks off to anybody. These two have shown that they’re passionate, thoughtful, ask the right questions, and get the job done right. So, while I’m aspiring to “do less,” it’s opening up my brainpower to focus on big-picture ideas and growth while knowing the whole team is here helping our clients. Learning to do LESS, so I can accomplish MORE for you. *See thrivent.com/social for important information.
