"Curvilinear surfaces deformed under forces creates spatial flow" This portfolio showcases the work from the monsoon semester 2024, completed during my first semester in the Master's program in Interior Design at CEPT University. It focuses on exploring materials, construction techniques, and curvilinear designs to create engaging spaces. The projects range from adaptive reuse to site-less concepts, blending creativity and functionality to design interiors that tell a story. This mathematical proportion, approximately 1:1.618, influences various aspects of architectural design within these cultural settings. - Proportional Layouts: The Golden Ratio guides the dimensions of rooms, corridors, and exhibition spaces, ensuring a balanced layout that effortlessly guides visitors through the space. - Facade Design: When applied to the exterior, the ratio creates facades with harmonious proportions, captivating and engaging viewers right from the entrance. - Interior Elements: Elements like windows, doors, and display cases are crafted using the Golden Ratio, contributing to a cohesive aesthetic that elevates the overall viewing experience. - Iconic Examples: Noteworthy instances include the Guggenheim Museum in New York, where Frank Lloyd Wright utilized the Golden Spiral, a derivative of the Golden Ratio, to fashion its distinctive spiral design. By integrating the Golden Ratio into architectural plans, architects can fashion museum and gallery spaces that not only serve their functional purpose but also kindle creativity and introspection through their exquisite beauty and balance.

Interior design is less and less reduced to the mere physical component of space and is instead increasingly projected towards an ‘environmental system’ made up of space, services, communication, and technology.
