Very important to bear in mind that, as Alex excellently highlighted, the 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗻𝗼𝗻-𝘀𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗸𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗲𝘅𝗰𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗼𝗽 𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗸𝘀. Often, projects rank risks by severity (based on probability and consequences) and focus on those with the highest severity ranking. While these high-severity risks may have noticeable adverse effects, it’s important to recognize that other risks can have a more significant cumulative impact. For example, consider 50 delays of one day each versus one delay of 20 days. In my experience, paying attention to these smaller, cumulative risks has often led to more successful project outcomes and smoother operations
