Happy #DAFDay! 💸 Wondering what a DAF is? A DAF (donor-advised fund) is a tax-advantaged charitable giving account. Gil L'italien has generously donated to Fistula Foundation since 2011. A few years ago, he decided to set up a DAF. This method of giving provides Gil with an efficient way to contribute to organizations he finds impactful, and offers him favorable tax benefits. Here’s what he had to say about us: 🗣️ “When you donate to Fistula Foundation, and divide your contribution by the cost of the procedure, you know precisely how many women you’ve helped.” 🗣️ “This is a charity that makes full use of its donations, because the bulk of expenditures contributes directly to doing good.” 🗣️ “Your contribution will allow women to get surgery and rejoin their communities, so you are also transforming the lives of her family members and future generations.” Learn more on our website about how to recommend a DAF to Fistula Foundation: https://bit.ly/3zHfXWY

For the 3rd year this September, I'm taking on the challenge to walk 10,000 steps every day to raise funds and awareness for people with cerebral palsy. STEPtember is an incredible initiative that helps fund life-changing research and support for those living with CP. Every step I take is a step towards a better future for individuals with cerebral palsy. Your support can make a huge difference! 💚 Children with CP need events like this to raise money to ensure they feel included in their surroundings and not left behind. This is something I hold close to my heart. **How You Can Help:** 1. Donate: Every contribution, big or small, helps us reach our goal. 2. Share: Spread the word by sharing this post with your friends and family. 3. Join: Sign up and take the challenge with me! Together, we can make a positive impact. Let's step up for cerebral palsy! https://lnkd.in/gSuZ5PSf #STEPtember #CerebralPalsy #Charity #10KStepsADay

There are under 12 hours left of the Marie Curie 36 Hour Challenge ⏳. Please donate before 10pm tonight so we can raise as much money as possible for end of life care. The first £100,000 of donations will be doubled! Thank you so much 💛 https://lnkd.in/ej7HGM89 In the next 36 hours, over 400 people could die without the care and support they desperately need. With the current cost of living crisis, and winter approaching, conditions are only getting worse for people living with a terminal illness and the people that care about them. This needs to change, and soon. Everyone deserves the right care and support, so they can feel comfortable and secure, right up to the end. With your help, we can ensure more people get the best possible end of life care. How would £1 million make a difference for people at the end of life? · It could help fund 4,830 nights of expert Marie Curie nursing care. · It could help fund the heating in all nine Marie Curie Hospices for two and a half years. · It could help fund the Marie Curie Support Line for three and a half years.
Time is running out! 📣⏲️ You have just 12 hours left to double your donation! One in four people don't get the end of life care they need. This needs to change, and soon. Donate and help ensure everyone gets the end of life care and support: https://bit.ly/3TyeU2n The first £100,000 you help us raise during the 36 hours will be doubled by matched funders.

📈Here’s a quick tip for all charities looking to ramp up their online donations… Across your website (along the main user journey leading to donation*) share a brief excerpt case study on what was achieved when [Peter Smith] donated [£37] per month. Then on the donation page, make sure this donation amount is one of the options presented prominently. Limit the friction at that point. Please then share the results with me! * if you don’t know what yours is, get in touch. #priming #behaviouralscience #charity

You might have seen me post about the 8-month program Saamiya and I are launching in late August to help BIPOC heal from racial trauma and find their voice. Until Thursday, we are donating all of our class proceeds to families escaping G@z@. Our goal is to raise $4,500 but we would love to raise more. So far, one person has committed. What will you get for your donation? You can either pay for your own spot in the program or pay it forward for someone else who needs financial support. We will then donate 100% of your funds to families escaping G*aza, picking from campaigns highlighted in Operation Olive Branch. (If you are the donor, we will send you the receipts). Why donate? Because not only will you be donating to families trying to survive a g*noc1d3, you will also be contributing to your (or someone else’s) racial healing. Why are Saamiya and I doing this? Well, we want to raise awareness about the dire situation in G*za, where horrific m@assacres are occurring every day and do our part to help. It’s been really hard for us to grapple with the fact that the g*nocid3 still continues with no signs of stopping. You can read more about the class here. At the sign-up link, you can indicate whether you are signing up for yourself or for someone else. https://lnkd.in/gJbf5cKA If you want more info before donating, attend our free class demo this Wednesday at 12pm CT! It also serves as a standalone workshop on racial healing: https://lnkd.in/gVdUHc7q

Charity fund raising. Great to support charities but where are your donations going to in reality? Do you know how much is actually going to your Charity of choice? Many charities are desperate for much needed funds. Make sure your money goes to where you choose. Why not gift directly to the charity and cut out the middlemen? Need help on philanthropic giving in the most tax efficient way? We can assist you. #charitygiving #giftaid #Probono ‘Emotional blackmail’: inside the agencies raising millions for GOSH https://lnkd.in/eRvBjrSF
