Save the Children in collaboration with Finn Church Aid, Norwegian Refugee Council, Humanity & Inclusion, War Child Holland, and Planning for Tomorrow, with funding from #EuropeanUnionHumanitarianAid combines expertise and resources to address the educational challenges of host and refugee children. The INnovative and InCLUsive accelerated eDucation programmE (INCLUDE) aims at providing safe and inclusive learning opportunities to 64,517 conflict-affected children and adults (32,037 females and 32,480 males) over 24 months. Happy Back to School Month 😊 Access to #education in refugee camps remains a significant challenge. Despite the efforts of international organizations and host countries, nearly half of the 7.9 million school-age refugee children are unable to attend school. The barriers to education are multifaceted, including the scarcity of schools within camps, lack of resources, and the transient nature of refugee life. Education is recognized as a fundamental human right and is crucial for the development and future of these children. It offers not only knowledge and skills but also a sense of normalcy and stability in an otherwise uncertain environment. Initiatives like the DAFI programme and Connected Learning are striving to improve access to higher education, aiming to enroll 15% of young refugee women and men in higher education by 2030. The integration of refugee children into national education systems is a step towards inclusive education, which can enhance community resilience and empower refugees to rebuild their lives and contribute to society. #Refugees #Humanitarian #WashInSchool
