💡 Uber drivers and physios are alike… Day 21 of posting for 30 days I’m sitting in an uber right now, he’s done thousands of trips, but he’s still not a good driver… Just simply being a physio for another year doesn’t make you better, but it does expose you to more scenarios/cases. If the uber driver took a driving course, he’d not only have the experience, but also would be a better driver. Physio changes every 18 months. Keep up with the research and keep up with your CPD. You’ll only consider how to solve patient problem with what’s in your toolbox - unless you expand your tool set.

🚨 **Scam Alert at Bengaluru T2 Uber Zone!** 🚨 Has anyone else noticed the frustrating experience at the T2 Uber zone? They have divisions for Uber XL, Uber Premiere, Uber Sedan, and Uber Go. However, if you've waited there, you might have seen that the Uber Go section is almost always empty. Why? Because Uber professionals don't allow Uber Go cars to approach the section unless someone books a Premiere. They’ll suggest that an Uber Go will take forever to arrive and push you to book a Premiere instead. Meanwhile, those Uber Go cars are just waiting in the opposite lane, ready to come over once they get the go-ahead. To make matters worse, there's no clear distinction between an Uber Sedan and an Uber Premiere. Ask the professionals or the drivers, and they'll tell you that Sedans and Go cars don't have AC, but Premieres do. Really, Uber? This feels like a blatant scam to push customers into booking higher-priced rides unnecessarily. It's disappointing and infuriating that Uber is manipulating the system at our expense. Interesting: We’re all wired to have a big problem with uncertainty. Before the Uber Map, we had issues with how long a taxi took to get to us, or so we thought. I’ll explain… The Uber map pinpoints exactly where our taxi is as it makes its way to us. The time it took for a taxi in the past and the time it takes today hasn’t significantly changed. The additional information provided on the real time map changes the wait experience and removes the uncertainty. Thoughts?

Meanwhile, #Uber lost more than $25,000 million as its initial #AutonomousVehicles program failed. That strategy may yet come full circle, as progress converges with #Uber's rapidly improving cash flow, imminent full-year profitability and an additional goal for the company: that its entire fleet in the US, Canada and Europe to go fully electric by 2030. Partnership with Uber allows drivers to rent #ElectricVehicles for as little as $273 per week for a #Chevy (NYSE: GM) #Bolt or #Hyundai (KRX: 005380) #Kona and $299 for a # Tesla (NASDAQ: TSLA) #Model3; with up to 45% off public charging rates under a partnership with #EVgo (program to access over 850 fast charging locations nationwide, with many new locations on the way). To help drivers recoup that cost, #Uber pays them an additional $1 per trip and enrolls riders in its #UberGreen program, with most drivers eligible for the #ComfortElectric premium plan. Hello fellow engineers! I could not wait to share my exciting experience as an Uber driver last Thursday. Here is my short vlog capturing the experience: https://lnkd.in/gCWwjGYC I took a total of 5 trips and earned 735 rupees which was insignificant as compared to the 5-star ratings and priceless experience I had talking to the riders as well as experiencing the seat. Here are a five inputs I think can help: 1. Since I started getting back pain, it would be great if drivers were educated about ergonomic posture and recurring reminders to get out of the car and take a walk. A back cushion as an onboarding kit would be nice. 2. Some riders complained about drivers not turning on the AC by default, so drivers can be asked to always ask the rider preferences while onboarding 3. When wanting to park, to rest, or to do some personal work, it's difficult to find a spot from where you aren't asked to move ahead. It would be great to have a feature in the driver app that shows areas where the driver has chances of getting a parking spot. 4. The app can also have a feature to show spots with public toilets so the driver can find the nearest one when required. 5. When showing the pickup and drop addresses in the app, and sometimes the driver not familiar with any, the app should provide a quick way to show the locations on the map suggesting which side of the city the drop is, otherwise the driver might have to open maps and search, resulting in timeout and losing the trip. 😳⛔️I asked my Uber driver why does he not wear his seatbelt. Is he not concerned about his safety ?⛔️😳 Here’s what he said. I drive 200kms a day and when you drive that long, it pains to wear a seatbelt every single day. It doesn’t allow me to move and being rigid is painful. Over eight years ago, Uber’s then-CEO gave a TED Talk about how Uber was going to “cut congestion, pollution and parking.” Now, we know that Uber increased congestion / vehicle miles traveled. We need to help people shift trips away from cars to bikes and public transportation. Rather than try to innovate our way out of car traffic and demand for parking with more/newer cars, we should implement proven policies and infrastructure from elsewhere: 1️⃣ Build a connected network of protected bike lanes 2️⃣ Make public transportation faster and more reliable

Uber Uber Uber Engineering Subject: Consistent Issues with Cab Bookings and Shuttle Service in the Morning Uber Support Team, I'm writing to bring to your attention a persistent issue I've been facing with cab bookings and shuttle service in the mornings. Despite repeated attempts, I'm unable to get a cab booked from Gaur City to Sector 62 between 8-10 am. On the rare occasions when a booking is confirmed, the driver either cancels the ride or doesn't move towards the location, and doesn't answer my calls. This issue has been consistent every morning, and I'm finding it increasingly frustrating. I rely on your service for my daily commute, and this unreliability is affecting my work and personal schedule. I request you to look into this matter and take necessary steps to address the issue. I would appreciate it if you could: - Increase the availability of cabs in the Gaur City area during peak morning hours - Take measures to reduce driver cancellations and no-shows - Improve communication from drivers to passengers I hope you understand the urgency of this issue and take prompt action to resolve it. I look forward to a smoother and more reliable experience with Uber.
