🎖 Honoring Veterans and Celebrating Legacy As we reflect on service and sacrifice, I want to share a few things that being a Veteran taught me—lessons that extend well beyond the military. During my time in uniform, I learned about discipline, resilience, and teamwork in ways that shape how I approach every challenge. Military life didn’t just prepare me to serve my country—it taught me how to approach every aspect of my life with purpose and integrity. From strategic planning to mentoring others, these lessons continue to guide my journey. Today, I apply those same principles in helping teams and individuals craft their own visions and build paths to their goals. Veterans have unique perspectives that bring resilience and resolve to any environment, and I’m proud to carry that legacy forward in my work. Veterans Day is a reminder that service doesn’t end when we leave the military. It’s about applying what we’ve learned and continuing to make an impact—whether on a team, in a community, or in personal growth. To my fellow Veterans—how has your service shaped your journey? Let’s share and celebrate the ways we’re all still making a difference.

As professionals and leaders in our communities, we have a unique opportunity to make a difference in the lives of veterans and active service members. Here are a few ways we can show our appreciation and support: 1. Educate Ourselves and Others: Take the time to learn about the challenges veterans face when transitioning to civilian life. Understanding their experiences can foster empathy and support. 2. Support Veteran-Owned Businesses: Seek out and promote businesses owned by veterans. As Veterans Day approaches, we honor and celebrate those who served, recognizing the dedication and sacrifices made in defense of our nation. For many veterans, separation from service is not a one-time event, but instead, a journey - a transition back to civilian life that unfolds over time. The transition process is not just about finding a new job or a place to live. It is a deeper journey of reconnecting, rediscovering, and navigating a cultural shift that can be profound. At Chimney Trail Foundation, we are committed to ensuring that veterans do not have to walk the trail of transition alone. That is why we are working to revitalize and create veteran centers - spaces designed to foster connection and community - where veterans can find camaraderie, resources, and support from those who understand the unique challenges of transition. These centers will be places of belonging and empowerment, where veterans can reconnect and find a renewed purpose as they navigate the transition to civilian life. Let's create a community that honors and supports veterans throughout this journey! https://lnkd.in/e4dKnKSm

We need to recruit corporations and job creators like Joby Aviation to our states. They are the future and have no other agenda but the future. Recruiting forward-thinking companies like Joby Aviation, which is working on innovations in electric air taxis, could indeed position states as leaders in future-focused industries. These companies bring high-quality jobs, stimulate economic growth, and often drive advancements in technology, infrastructure, and sustainability. By attracting businesses that prioritize innovation and future-oriented solutions, states can create hubs for cutting-edge industries, from green technology to advanced manufacturing. Supporting these companies can also inspire local educational institutions to build relevant programs, aligning workforce skills with industry needs. Plus, companies like Joby Aviation focus on green transportation, which aligns with broader sustainability goals and may attract talent interested in working on transformative, meaningful projects. To succeed in recruiting these job creators, states might consider offering incentives like tax breaks, grants for research and development, infrastructure improvements, and partnerships with local universities. By positioning themselves as supportive environments for innovation, states can drive economic growth in a way that aligns with a future-focused agenda that benefits both the business and the local community.
On Veterans Day, we express our gratitude every person who has served for their commitment and dedication to our nation — and in particular the many veterans who are part of the Joby team. Thank you for your service, and Happy Veterans Day!
