✨ Six months in at Movable Ink… As I reflect on my first six months at Movable Ink, I wanted to share six things (see what I did there?) I’ve learned during this transition— career lessons that make me grateful every day to have been welcomed onto this team: 1️⃣ Working at a 600-person organization has been my goldilocks moment. It’s the perfect size— scrappy and innovative, but with the resources and momentum to make a big impact. 2️⃣ Trusting in my executives has been a game-changer. Leadership here is thoughtful, strong, and genuinely cares about our well-being and success. 3️⃣ Selling a product you believe in is EVERYTHING. I never avoid questions at family gatherings or dance around tough client questions— I stand behind what we offer 100%. 4️⃣ Empowering teams (both internal and client-side) is my favorite part of every job I've ever had, and I get to do it daily. 5️⃣ Picking jobs based on who will be my direct leader has been my secret career superpower, and it continues to prove a wonderful, dependable compass. My direct leader at Movable Ink, Jacqueline Mattia, empowers, encourages, and emboldens me every single day. 6️⃣ Championing for equity is central to who I am, and I don't have to leave that behind when I go to work. At the right organization, I can find allies at every level who stand with me (who were already standing, really) and make it a priority. This role has reinforced so many of my values and passions, and I’m beyond excited for what’s ahead. I may never leave! I mean, look how happy I am in this photo! Thank you so much to my wonderful new team, for welcoming me. 💛 And thank you to my previous leaders who still serve as my mentors, and the amazing teams I've been a part of that propelled me to land in just the right place. It's nine months now since I joined the team at Udder lead by Alan Walker and Jeremy Russon. I think I was employee number 16 when I joined at the end of January and now we're up to 27 as the team goes from strength to strength. I can honestly say I have never enjoyed a job as much as I am enjoying this one. I am loving every minute of it. I have learnt so much this year doing a job that is very different to my previous 28 years' working and my only regret is I wish I had made the move sooner. Working with such an amazing group of colleagues, partners and customers where you feel so valued and truly part of the team can't be under estimated. We all contribute to that culture by being kind, supportive, curious and straightforward in how we work together. Culture is not about the values listed on the website or stuck up on the walls, it's about how we really work together everyday. Sadly, it's the pockets of underlying negativity or toxicity that are tolerated in some companies that really define their culture. But this post isn't about negatives, it's about me having a ball in doing what I am doing today and loving the place where I work with a new found enjoyment of working. I haven't touched on what an epic, creative and awesome buch of tech savvy people we are at Udder. But we are. And we know a thing or two about working in the industry too, with most of us coming from in-house HR and TA backgrounds, so we have walked in the shoes of our customers with the added ability to add a big old dash of functional expertise and technological know-how on top. #UdderRocks

Last week may have been the best week in Skyllful history! On Tuesday we put normal operations at Skyllful on pause to allow our team to experience a day in the life of the #frontline roles we support. We split the team into four groups and sent them out into a variety of real-world scenarios to gain a better understanding of a critical user personal for our platform (generally, frontline workers). Our team got to see behind the scenes of: - Food/beverage distribution - Retail (teleco) - Technology field services - Retail (grocery) On Wednesday all four teams presented their trip reports to the broader group sharing their observations and insights and answering questions. I think I had permagrin the entire day. 😊 One of my favorite moments was when the retail grocery team and the F&B distribution team connected the dots - one was delivering to the other - so the team could compare and contrast the scenario from both perspectives. I'd love to report that I had planned this. Serendipity is a thing. Our team is made up of amazing people in their first professional role all the way up to.... well, let's just say a few more years than that. Everyone learned something. And Skyllful is a better company today than we were last week as a result. We started this company because we realized that most corporate learning and digital adoption tools are focused on knowledge workers working on a laptop. Yet, the overwhelming majority of the workforce is deskless. 🙄 As you push more tech capabilities to the edge of your workforce, your learning and digital adoption tools need to get to the edge as well. The Skyllful team continues to learn and innovate and close the gap. We are connecting the disconnected! A very special thanks to the business leaders who provided Skyllful and our team with access to your operations for the day. We could not have done this without your support and we are eternally grateful. You're certainly welcome to weigh in, but I don't feel it's my place to share proper names in this case.
