We've worked hard to create an ad with a hardhitting & effective message despite Clear Cast prohibiting a comparison to rice in the advert with our usual '93% less carbs than Rice' (they say we are a vegetable and not rice therefore are cannot be compared - even if bigger brands such as THIS and Quorn managed to get clear cast permission on similar claims versus meat! Clear cast have invited us to get legal representation if we wanted to pursue the case but instead we decided to put the funds into more airtime.) We've also made a call to shorten the ad to a 10 seconder and go for reach & frequency - to hit 60% of the UK adult population an average of 6 times each. Hopefully this would somewhat increase our 2% share of the UK rice market 🤔
Fullgreen is launching a TV ad on nationwide TV via ITV. You can find Fullgreen in the rice aisle of major supermarkets around the UK. Pardon the interruption but, CONFESSION TIME: I like commercials. I was an early cord-cutter. Like 2004. And I actually started to miss commercials. I like movie trailers, I like a well-done ad. I don't like my day being interrupted to often, or poorly, or repeatedly with the same message. Understand what your audience will give you permission to do understand what you have to earn, and give your audience the power to skip you are three of the most powerful things you need to understand as an advertiser.

I can’t help but draw a parallel between the change in structure of advertising agencies industry and the film industry. - Both were doing mass communication and fell apart due to media becoming more personal and clients/consumer wanting more personal conversations/problem solving. - No block-busters anymore, small movies, more frequency. - The big banners are now big producers, the big ideas come from young artists. - The actors who knew more than their craft are moving to live shows like concerts, theater, OTT shows. In advertising people who didn’t fit in one box have started their own. - Multiplex adding revenue through food services, agencies trying to bundle more services ATL+ Digital. #advertising #films
