InnoSer is a proud partner for the HEAL EU Project, which focuses on iPSC-cardiomyocyte aggregate manufacturing technologies for #AllogenicCellTherapy to the heart. As part of evaluation of iPSC-derived cell therapy, InnoSer supports the development of HEAL iPSC-derived cardiomyocyte aggregates by performing #InVivoBiodistribution and #Tumorigenicity studies. InnoSer's team continuously supports industry innovators in their journey toward the approval and the subsequent use in the clinic. For novel therapy types such as ATMPs, rigorous preclinical research is the key to success in clinical trials. For example, our team has extensive experience in beta cell replacement therapy testing including cellular encapsulation in microcapsules and macrodevices or islet kidney capsule transplantation. In the setting of #MyocardialInfarction (MI), our permanent LAD ligation MI model is a highly relevant preclinical model for #ATMPs evaluation as well. To assess tumorigenicity of a novel ATMP, studies in WT and/or mouse models with predisposition to cancer (such as the #p53 KO model) are regularly performed. INSTAND attended the 2024 EQALM Symposium and General Assembly  in Vienna, Austria from 16-18 October. Prof. Dr. med. Michael Spannagl, INSTAND e.V. Board of Directors: Chairman of the Board, represented INSTAND with the following presentation topic: Clinical Impact of EQA. Key Points: ◾ Laboratory results have an important impact on the diagnosis, treatment, and monitoring of patients but also the prevention of disease ◾ EQA allows for the comparison of available test systems and for the comparison of laboratories in respective ring trials ◾ EQA may allow for effectiveness perspective in the comparative assessment of laboratory test systems ◾ Cross-sectional and longitudinal comparability of lab values is of utmost importance for national and global healthcare structures ◾ Relevant consensus documents and guidelines rely on direct comparability of laboratory results obtained in different clinical situations, also for POCT results EQALM is an umbrella organization for European EQA organizers in laboratory medicine. An interesting article and great to see industry intent to develop benefits to those in need. Some interesting parallels with the Veterans Agenda - especially in view of the recent launch of Operation Prosper. The Office of Veterans Affairs will hopefully endure if there is a change in Government - if not, then where does the momentum come from to tackle inequalities for those who resettle from the Armed Forces?

Speakers list is coming together with a few names I am excited about announcing later next week. This is our chance to make our voice louder than it’s ever been before. Odd numbered years are the only chance we get in N.C. to pass new bills so if you have a financially vested interest in the medical cannabis program in N.C. we can achieve in 2025 this is where our efforts need to be. We have more space approved inside and outside than we did during the peaceful protest during the attempt to change NC’s farm bill by the House to destroy the hemp industry. That protest is one of my proudest moments as an activist. It is to this day still the only multiple day protest held by a group of citizen advocates that lead to the bills passage, with added protection for the hemp industry, in real time. On day 3 we started at 9 am and I stayed until 7 pm when session started. At 7:42 pm Senator Rabon gestured towards the gallery in our direction, winks, and calls for the bill to be put on the floor for a vote. I can still remember how difficult it was to stifle the elated scream dancing around in my tightly closed mouth. It worked. Standing up, being louder than everyone else and reminding the legislators the power in this state lies with the voters actually got the change we wanted in a bill. I want everyone to feel what I did in my soul that day. I want to show N.C. there is still a reason to have hope and together I know we can do just that. The dates will be either 4/15 or 4/16 with a confirmation coming mid next week. I’ll be posting different ways you can help support this effort if you can’t be there in person very soon but I am happy to talk to anyone individually in the meantime if helping N.C. achieve medical cannabis legalization is something your passionate about.
