Huge shoutout to Summer, our DEI intern! 🌟 Their passion for creating a more inclusive workplace is inspiring. We’re so grateful for their fresh perspective and contributions to our team. I am so proud of our Level Up Series. Each quarter, we host a broadcast with one of our top leaders and they share their career journey, obstacles, and they're why. We do this because mentorship and networking don't just have to happen formally. It's the informal networks we're trying to curate for our employees who may not know how to break through those invisible barriers that unlock the keys to professional advancement and growth. Folks from underrepsented groups are less likely to be mentored within corporate cultures due to imposter syndrome, lack of visibility, or absence of sponsorship. Our series aims to break down those barriers by bringing our leaders into the everyday workspaces of our employees and having some courageous conversations. I often get asked why I work at Grab & GrabAds ? Why not work for a pure play Ads Publisher? While it's true there would more of a laser focus on "ads" and probably far less "alignment" meetings 🤣, there would also be something very important missing. 🎬 Can you imagine a multi-season Netflix blockbuster about the life at Accedia? Kiril can! Kiril Ribarsky, QA Manager, has been with us for 5 years, and his journey is filled with countless memorable moments. Here's what he shared about Accedia: "If I had to share all the interesting stories from Accedia, I’d better write a novel. It'd make a fantastic script for the next multi-season blockbuster on Netflix! That's why it's hard to pick a favorite one, so I'll just name a few: Accedia's 7th and 8th birthday parties, the 2021 summer teambuilding, the carting with the QA team and all the everyday laughs we share with my colleagues. At Accedia I learned what it means to create an environment that nurtures growth and celebrates success. To not be afraid of new challenges because the whole team is behind you, and won't let you down. The company trusted me and gave me a huge opportunity. During these 5 years I formed great friendships and felt appreciated, I felt that I found my place. All these things along with the company values, which are also my personal values, make me believe this is the place to stay and celebrate my 10th anniversary too. My advice to anyone who joins Accedia would be - be driven by curiosity not by fear." Coming off a week of being OOO! I didn’t do anything particularly special. To be honest, I was feeling a bit tired—maybe even a little burnt out. So, I took my own managerial advice and booked some time off to hang out at home and reset my routine. I also celebrated a birthday! If you’re a fall baby like me (shoutout to my fellow Libras 👋), maybe you think of fall as a reset, too. While enjoying a staycation at home, I took some time to reflect. Here are a few things I’ve been thinking about: • Working in comms/marketing for ten years! • Celebrating 5 years at Brandish | A Creative Agency marking my transition from non-profit comms to #AgencyLife. • How much my first comms job taught me about people. • How fun it is to see my peers grow in their careers. • Is the art of the commercial coming back?! And hopefully more thoughts I can flesh out in future posts. Stay tuned!

Month 2 of working with our biggest UGC client. We’ve collected close to $40,000 and shipped over 500 ad creatives. How’s it going: 👇 Month 1 was rocky. We had to hire & ramp up 6 full-time people, streamline the workflow, and make sure our work was a 10/10. It was probably an 8/10 though. What’s extremely important when working with A+ clients and your service is not perfect... is communication. I was texting the client at the end of each week giving him updates on the bottlenecks we were facing and exactly what we were doing to resolve them. And they appreciated it. Month 2 was much smoother. The whole team knows exactly what’s expected from them. The workflow is smooth. The quality of our work is at a 10/10. The turnaround times are met. The client is happy. If you’re a service provider, you can never over-communicate. Even if you’re not getting immediate responses, rest assured that your messages are being read. And when your client sees your proactivity and problem-solving attitude... they’ll always give you the benefit of the doubt and allow you time to solve your challenges.
