🎓💰 Maximizing Your 529 Contributions before year end: A Smart Move for Education Savings! 💰🎓 Are you planning for your child's education? A 529 plan can be a fantastic tool to help you save! Here’s why you should consider making regular contributions: Tax Advantages: Contributions grow tax-free, and withdrawals for qualified education expenses are also tax-free. Some states even offer tax deductions for contributions! Flexibility: 529 plans can be used for various educational expenses, including college tuition, room and board, and even K-12 education in some states. Gift Contributions: You can gift contributions to a 529 plan, making it a great way for family and friends to support your child's future. Time is on Your Side: The earlier you start contributing, the more time your money has to grow. Even small, consistent contributions can add up significantly over time. Financial Aid Considerations: 529 plans are considered parental assets, which typically have a smaller impact on financial aid compared to student assets. Consider setting up automatic contributions to your 529 plan, making it easier to save consistently! Let’s invest in our children’s futures together! 💪💼 #529Plan #EducationSavings #FinancialPlanning #InvestInTheFuture

Pursuit of Purpose - Issue I Deeper Dive into Gifting Smart in January 2025: Don't Miss Tax-Free Opportunities! 🎁Annual Gift Exclusion: In 2025, you can give up to $19,000 per person without owing gift tax. If you're married, that's $38,000 together. Act now to use this exclusion fully. 💡 Pro Tip: You can prepay up to five years' worth of gifts in one year without using up part of your lifetime gift tax exemption, thanks to a special IRS rule. 💊Medical Expenses: Payments directly to healthcare providers for someone else's medical costs are tax-free. This includes everything from premiums to treatments, but remember, direct payment is key. 💡 Pro Tip: Consider giving family members credit cards specifically designed for medical expenses and you pay off the balance at month end. 📚Education Gifts: Tuition paid directly to schools for someone else's education is also not taxed. This applies to all education levels but only covers tuition, not books or living expenses. 💡 Pro Tip: Prepaying four years of college tuition can secure a discount and allow for a refund if the student transfers, providing both cost savings and flexibility. ❓Why January? It's the perfect time to plan your gifts to ensure you don't miss these opportunities. Early gifting can reduce your taxable estate, provide immediate support to loved ones, and avoid forgetting as the year goes on. ⭐The Impact: By giving early, you're not just helping others; you're also engaging in smart tax and estate planning. These exclusions don't roll over, so don't wait! Start the year with generosity that also makes financial sense. Here's to making the most of your 2025 giving strategy! November 5th 2024 will undoubtedly go down in history. As owners, educators, principals, and administrators, we are standing on the edge of profound change in how we approach education. Yet, for many in this field, the burden of delayed payments, financial strain, complex contracts, milestones, attendance, and behavioral challenges can cloud our vision. Often, we spend much of our time redirecting students and working with parents, all while wrestling with the realities of admin responsibilities . I want to encourage every educator, administrator, and school owner who answered the call to serve in education to remember this: education isn’t just a job, and it’s certainly not one we pursue for the paycheck. It’s a calling, a purpose we answer with dedication and sacrifice. Now, it’s time to answer a new call. I write this message at 1:48 a.m. on Election Day, a day when many of us are preparing to exercise our right to vote. As we do, I urge you to think about the students we serve and remember our calling to go beyond politics, to address the deeper issues awaiting us. No matter which side of the aisle you stand on, I pray for your strength and courage and wisdom today. Remember, America will be great again because in God, we trust. Amid all the pressures, let’s hold onto hope that, like gold refined in fire, we will emerge from this season stronger and more resilient. Everything we endure as administrators and educators is preparing us for something greater. This is your moment to become more creative, more innovative, and to find freedom in how you approach your work. Don’t miss it—this is a time to rise, to lead, and to shape a brighter future for our students and for ourselves. Thank you for your service, your sacrifice, and your commitment to a cause far greater than ourselves. Let’s move forward together, with purpose and hope.
